Is Tyler Linderbaum the dream right now?

The nightmare pick.

Ugh
At this point it's Green or a top end Def player or trade back

The nightmare pick?

LOL. He can play OG or C, two big needs. At 24, he'd likely be the best player on the board.

Doesn’t it usually take a good running game to win playoff games and Super Bowls?

No.It’s usually elite QBs winning championships.

Occasionally a team with a great defense wins but more times then not the QB playing the best football wins the trophy.

The NFL has devalued the RB position.

So there is no correlation between the running game and winning playoff games?

I have seen where the Cards need a center who pick 1 spot ahead of us and if the Bengals lose this week need one too who pick one spot behind us.

Green can play OT and OG a more premium postion and fits a need asap in both categories if need be.

What would it take to move from 24 to 14. We could wait to see who the Eagles take at 15 and 16 then jump them before their last selection. I know most people don't like taking a Centre that high but we invested a lot in our running attack and are not getting the results because teams want to shut down the run and force Dak to win the game. Linderbaum is a strong man; just look up video's of him submitting his old team mate who plays LT for Tom Brady. We need to fix the line.

Not sure, would need to look at the trade chart. Just a guess, but probably would cost us at least our 3rd.
That is too much for me.
They will not be players in the FA market. So a 3rd needs to be kept.

Strictly by the chart it looks like it costs our 2 and 5.

But by almost all mocks and rankings, Linderbaum is the higher rated prospect. He likely won’t even be there at 24.

Passing on him when you have a need at interior OL would be pretty silly IMO.

I'd guess Linderbaum goes in the 12-20 range. I agree with Cnu that he looks like a good but not transcendant prospect, and there will be plenty of good tackles drawing OL needy teams' attention.

Seems silly to take OL early if we already have one or the best in the league. We have major holes to fill on DL, LB, S, WR, TE, LB, etc. Why waste resources where we are already solid? We aren’t and you know it. Tyron is old and injured. Williams and Biadasz are awful. LC is eh. Our entire OL is a penalty machine. Emmitt, Sanders, Brown, and Walter would be awful behind this line. Yeah they’re good.
Thank you

The fun begins when you have Lindy and another player at a more premium position (DE, OT) etc that is also available…if you have em equally graded who you taking?

Thanks You would have to agree that it would be funny to screw the Eagles out this pick thou.

Linderbaum. Those premium can have a high bust potential at our draft slot. I think Linderbaum's floor is a just sub Pro Bowl cailber OC. And even though he doesn't play a premium, he is big piece towards rebuilding a dominant OL

@The Realist did the research earlier, it would take a 2nd and 5th to jump the Eagles

Is he the dream pick and do we have any shot at getting him?

Should we give up multiple picks to go get him if he falls past 15?

Ive seen centers and guards fall before but I don’t know if there is any chance it happens this year.

Our only chance with Stats Prescott is to build the best Oline ever assembled so this would be a nice start.
He is under 300 lbs as a center

Posted that earlier. That’s too rich for my blood but everything is negotiable. I was listening to The Football Podcast with Brugler and Zurlein yesterday and they were saying how with the lack of top end talent it may not be hard to move up in this draft.

In 2013, we got 3rd to move down from 18th to 32. That was a weak draft too

They’re logic is there is no Burrow/Herbert in this draft. No Chase Young or Bosa. No Zeke or Barkley. No Ramsey. To my eye the most loaded positions are OT and edge rushers but even those don’t have an Orlando Pace or dare I say Micah Parsons. The Football Podcast today called Micah a once every 5-7 year type of guy.

I think there are a fair amount of Anthony Costanzo's in the draft. Neal is probably a good amount better than that, but I dont think he is necessarily an All Pro type either. I think are a few Josh Allen caliber pass rush prospects in this draft
