Wow that's news to me. That sucks. If he tore his bicep he's done for the year. That would change everything for this season!

Oh my God, OH MY GOD we have to sign someone. No, we have to trade for someone. Why aren't Jerry and Stephen making a move??? Smith is missing practice we need someone in here now. How do we know we can rely on him if he does come back? Can't the Cowboys see that ESPN won't rank us as high in the power poll any more? We're sliding behind GB and SEA not to mention this has to give PHIL more confidence when they play us. We are sure to lose the season opener now as the Giants pass rush will feast on Romo.

Did I miss any?

you missed the direct AP reference...pffft, I can't take you seriously any more, missing important things like that!

I'm sweating Free's well-being far more than the muscle strain that Smith sustained. A few days rest or so and Smith will be fine. The FO surely doesn't seem overly concerned over Free but the weeks ahead will do much to indicate his exact state of health. In the meantime, Weems will likely get plenty of practice, which he needs. Perhaps the final cuts will supply a RT backup if Weems doesn't prove out, although he's not altogether poor but mostly inexperienced and rusty. He's obviously better at RT than at LT. Hopefully, Tyron will recover in enough time to settle that position, although a steady LT backup would help.

This is a veteran getting some rest so that we can see what we got behind him.

As far as injuries to football players go... you really can't get any smaller than this one.

He's fine and he doesn't need to practice for a few days.

So were back to pushing the panic button the RB's again?

Frankly, we never stopped the hand wringing at RB. Did you see Gus? Short bus indeed.

I have been setting my alarm to go off every couple of hours through the night so I can wake up and worry about RB before drifting back off to sleep.

why would we panic, didn't that Peterson trade go through a while ago?

It was a done deal and just needed to be signed off on. Jerry put the trade together: It was this year's first and second round picks, a 2016 first round pick, a 2016 second round pick, a 2017 first, second and third, along with Giving them Joseph Randle, Ron Leary, and Gavin Escobar.

Then Stephen walked in, looked at everyone like, "Who gave Jerry the pen?", and then asked Jerry to go wait in the car.

Then Stephen tore the deal up, told Minn he'd give a 4th for Peterson and walked out to drive his dad home.

Minn never called back.

I'm pretty sure that's how it went down.
