Is Zeke Back?

Or do you need to see more?

one game which he did not even gained 100 yards, doesn't make zeke back to the 2016. .. but from what i keep hearing that question and comment
from estatic Cowboys fans is they are glad to see Zeke flash positive runs and plays - as compared to the slow start he had last year (and he normally starts slow each year he's been in the NFL)

Zeke showed the " angry" runs, the power and leg drive that makes him hard to corral at times.
Right now he is showing quality bell cow.
But 2016 Zeke version isn't back yet .., the one that sprung home run hitters vs Steelers, Niners,..Detroit, Cincy ...the one that had the 40+ yrds slash plays .

Once we've seen Zeke revert back to the long distance home run hitters, ..and he's hurling over whiffing tacklers again,.. then we can rant how the 2016 Zeke is back.

In 2018, in 15 games he had 1,434 rushing yards (4.7 ypc) and 567 receiving yards. I would be pretty happy with that.
Yep. Pretty good. Would still like the 2016 version where he averaged 5.1 and had more yards while sitting the last 1.5 games of the season, but wanting better for Zeke seems to be frowned upon by this base. Good enough is alright.

Never, and I don’t care if he’s back or not. Look where it’s got us so far...nowhere. Total waste of money, championship teams don’t need top running backs, let alone paying them the most for that position and using a top 5 overall pick on one. That money could have been much better spent elsewhere but Jerrah spent it on one of the most expendable positions in the game.
Championship teams w/o Patrick do.

um only two backs broke 100yards this week and Henry needed 31 carry's to do so at 3.7 YPC zeke was third with 96 and a better YPC avg,,he had two tds also tops for a RB..who cares about 2016? i mean the Ol isnt even close to 2016 we were 13-3 had better team in 2016 , things change, Zekes still very good and thats not changed a bit..

What comment have I made that is not consistent with what I have said in the past? You are a butt hurt Zeke fan who gets emotional talking about him, that is why you skipped over what I said and just started talkin Bs because you argue just for the sake of arguing. You’re a pest and nothing but a pest.

I asked you what comment of yours you are saying I skipped over and you giver me this blather.

So...you don't like the way Jerry spent his money on Zeke...but you totally trust Jerry to use it so wisely somewhere else.

ZDS is strong in this one.

I already replied to my comment that you skipped and tagged you in the response. Do you not know how notifications work? It’s like talking to a 5 year old with you.

He looks like the same 2017-2019 version of Zeke. Let me know when you see the 2016 version.

B-I-N-G-O

He’s a very good, well rounded back. That said, he’s transformed into strictly a power back with limited big play ability; he’s not flipping the field on anyone.

And for the life of me I can’t understand why people have an issue with this observation. He even said he is not looking for the big play early in the game.

Exactly.

They want to act like he’s any and all things. I’d still take Zeke over everyone outside of 1-2 backs in the league, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have limitations.

He has just four runs of 40+ yards in 1,191 carries, and three of those came in 2016.

That would be nice too. The game he had Sunday was pretty darn good though. They key will be will how consistent he can be, and if he can break off a few bigger runs here and there. The occasional big run was really the missing element, but otherwise he had a very nice game.

And Henry had a terrible game. Zeke would've easily gained 150 yards w/ TENN's team Monday night.

well i wound not say that but they won and he ate up clock.i dont watch their game i know they looked like us last year with Maher and the run game lol but pulled it off..id say denver was horrible not winning a game like that..

i don't care about only 2 backs, ..i'm focused on our own.
The one we took 4th overall in 2016..when we couldve had Derrick Henry as the 2nd rd pick instead of Jaylon.
the Zeke that we made the highest paid RB (at the time),.

the ones that care wants to see a Zeke that was Adrian Peterson like . .where you had to worry about BOTH his deadly home run speed hitting ability
as well as his vicious power runs that wears down tacklers and makes it difficult to stop near goal line, that was the 2016 version and that's what
made him unique and special.

But only having one 40 yard splash run in 2 years, doesn't spell dangerous or breakaway- an element that he was clearly displaying his first 2 years in NFL .
and i dunno why we have to keep hearing about the 2016 OL ... when we just had an OL that was 2nd in NFL in least sacks allowed and 5th overall in
rushing total. That's quality to run ball behind and pass behind. Trying to hinge on a 2016 OL sounds like fishing for an excuse.
