Isaiah Stanback out for the season with torn Achilles *Merged*

Isaiah Stanback's hard luck in the NFL continues.
The former Washington Huskies and Garfield High standout, who was hoping to land with the Seahawks, suffered a season-ending left Achilles injury early in the afternoon practice.
Drafted in the fourth round by Dallas in 2007, the 6-2, 208-pound receiver played two seasons with the Cowboys before signing with New England in 2009.
Last season, Stanback appeared in six games and caught three passes for 22 yards with the Patriots.
For his career, he has five catches for 46 yards. He's also averaged 22.7 yards as a kick-off returner.
Stanback started 20 games for the Huskies during a four-year career. He passed for 3,868 yards, 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also ran for 794 career yards.
He turns 26 Aug. 16.

What kind of fool would mock Jerry Jones for this pick? Even after he was cut by the Cowboys, the Patriots and Seattle gave him a shot. Obviously, others saw some talent in him, too.

I had lunch with him once and worked with him on a few things when he was a Cowboy, and he's one heck of a nice guy. I just hope he has a full recovery and that things work out for the best for him.
