It has gotten very quiet for a while which leads me to believe a deal is being worked out. The victim likely is weighing her options and that probably includes never working again. Hence Bond in the NFL will make that happen. Bond in prison not so much. That’s is just what my spidey senses are telling me about this case. The question is whether or not Bond is damaged goods to the NFL. He would have to be pretty convincing that he is not a total thug.

Ah, but you said bigger. Weight is mostly more important than height in the NFL. Deuce is not actually small, he's short.

There is a natural lull in Sexual assault cases. This case could 100% take years to complete between DNA testing and processing evidence it will remain a long term situation to watch. To me is sounds like the same situation that one former NBA great found himself in years ago. That said it is easier to buy your self out after you are already established.

Yeah but this is Texas and Bond was a Longhorn with first round pick potential. Star athlete in Texas is a much different ball game. They are scrambling to see how to salvage his earning potential while managing the fallout. All of them.

It'd be interesting to read the police report. But since the investigation/case is pending, it'd be difficult to get. Maybe a bit easier since it's a case of public interest.
