Who knows what his trade value is, but I don't see how he fits here. He's pretty redundant with Kearse, Wilson, and Overshown.

Dallas should be more in the market for a depth piece at Mike behind LVE.

When they do, Simmons will be a free agent too and will probably be more expensive

Sign him next year and keep the draft capital. He was supposed to be all world but didn't get his 5th year option picked up. Sends up red flags to me. Additionally I don't see how he fits in Dan Quinn's defense. I would rather we add someone on the offensive side of the ball.

Here's my thinking on the subject.

Maybe we can throw a 3rd rounder in there with Gallimore, Cox and Something else for Hopkins and Simmons.

Resign Simmons to a longer term deal.
Restructure Hopkins and Cut loose Gallup next offseason.

Keep the draft picks. I'd rather have Gallup. Hopkins has what, a couple of seasons left? Clearly Simmons isn't what everyone thought by not getting that 5th year option picked up.

No one is trading anything for Gallimore or Cox.
