They were the 1 team this year featured on Hard knocks, and they also played 1 more pre season game than every other team in the league (except for the Steelers; the team they played in the HOF game) - yet I [we] have NO clue what we have going into the 2021-2022 season.
Just about every starter sat out of every preseason game and I used to live in Oxnard and I’ve been to many training camps.. they’re a joke. So I literally have no clue how good or bad this team will be. I think they could win anywhere between 3 and 13 games.
There is one guarantee I’ll make (and I think we got very lucky with this draft pick) is Micah Parsons will change the attitude and put the fear of god in Quarterbacks and maybe even running backs respectively. This guy might be the second coming of Lawrence Taylor (same height, same weight, same nasty streak, and he’s FASTER). This young man will one day be defensive player of the year and I could feasibly see him lead the league in tackles, win rookie of the year, and finish top 3 in defensive player of the year voting.
It’ll be hard for the defense to be worse than last year, but there are many many question marks all over the place and I doubt they’re good enough or have the cohesiveness that it takes to make a run in the playoffs THIS year. I think the offense will be very good (as long as injuries/covid don’t decimate this offense again).
Prediction: 10-7 (NFC East champs; 1st round exit)
