Hostile, Zoners; I am beginning to wonder something, maybe you can follow me where I am going.

As you know, several times on HBO Wade has stated that the mistakes are his, errors etc, but the physical part is the players.

What if you do the reverse physocoholgy, i can never spell that word;

But instead of attacking the players late in the year, for example if they are getting soft, you attack Wade Phillips. If the players love him as it has been posted and said by the players. If you attack someone you tend to care about or love. Normally then that person that loves the person that is being attacked stands up and fights.

What if we attack wade phllips for saying letting the players have bye week off it it happens again, being to soft, because the player are getting soft, etc?

Reverse psychology.....For the most part it works.....then again it can backfire.

If the players are really and truly in Wade's corner it should be affective, but, it requires a vocal leader coming from the player ranks.

We did win a Wildcard playoff game, but then began our current drought after a crushing loss to the 3rd year Carolina Panthers.

Perhaps it's a bit homerish on my part, but I still maintain that we win that Carolina game and head to the NFC Championship Game yet again if Irvin and Deion don't go down with injuries. Granted, the Packers and Lambeau Field would've been jacked to the moon for that contest the following week, especially with all the talk during those years of the 7,000,000 consecutive times we'd beat them, but anything could've happened.

The day after Super Bowl XXX in Tempe, Arizona the quest for a 6th Lombardi Trophy (and beyond) began. The 1996 season still looked like there was a chance, but we knew the 49ers were tough and the Packers were coming on strong and in the AFC so were the Broncos and Patriots.

I'm supposed to shock you back to reality now and then. It's in my contract. I can't always be the sick freak you admire.

I hope the Cowboys win, too but I'm going to save my celebration until after they win it, this time. I've seen them do the "Thanksgiving fade" once too often so I'm holding back any sense of anticipation and just enjoying the season game by game, win or lose. Dumb happy me.

Pavlov was right, after a while we get conditioned to expect things and for me the late season fade is what I've come to expect. No, I don't salivate over it.

The Cowboys have been on the brink several times lately of shaking that cursed burden but have still not mustered to that cause. Maybe this will be the year they rise above themselves and pull it all together with a testy resolve.

They have failed enough, it's time to win. :cool:
