It is a bad day when JJT gets it right...

The line below is from his column today:

Any questions about the Cowboys the last three years have nothing to do with talent and everything to do with their heart and ability to perform under pressure.

This is the same problem that Parcells had and Wade has. Though I believe Wade is not a good head coach, this team has zero heart and when the pressure comes we wilt like a flower, especially the defense. I still can't figure out how no one was able to make a play on that last drive for the game winning FG. We are soft mentally and physically....we will beat bad teams like Tampa...and when we do beat an upper echelon team like the NYFG the next week we will come back and lay an egg because we suddenly feel we made it....how I long for the days of a Landry and Jimmy Johnson, that kept their throats on a team and pushed them to greatness...

Romo made stupid decisions and moped all game, the secondary left people wide open, we made dumb penalties and turned the ball over.

And still at the end we had the lead and needed 1 series of 3 and out to win it and we wilted under the pressure. No heart...no backbone...no sense of urgency. How do you leave receivers so wide open on the last drive of the game????? No focus on details....:banghead:

Often I think that's the case, but not last night.

Watch other teams play - how many of them recover from four momentum killing turnovers? Most teams don't even stay in the game.

Ignorant fans will say the turnovers were somehow erased because Dallas took the lead; reality is that those turnovers allowed NY to stay in the game and build confidence.

Exactly, Also I don't know about the whole "play with no heart" thing that it seems people trot out where a team loses. I thought we played with a lot of heart in the RED ZONE. Bottom line is that we had the lead, had the momentum, had the ball 1st down at mid field and Romo throws a dang lang punt. We score there and game over, IMO.

A few seasons back, Deion Sanders said that the biggest problem he has with this team is that they don't know how to put an opponent away.

Same story three years later.

They also self destruct, time and again.

Perfect example, Flozell tripped Tuck negating a huge gain. Bad enough.

BUT then, later on in the game, he tried to do it again.

Ya just get tired of the same old story game after game with this team.

But hey, we'll all be back next week rooting our butts off on Monday night.
