Honestly the only improvement I thought that stood out was they made less penalties.

They also need to find out how to tackle behind the LOS because they keep missing these RB and QBs.

A much needed win. Enjoy it but I don’t see the improvement others are talking about on defense though. Tons of concerns about that side of the football.

i saw improvement. i saw effort and done big opportunistic plays. i just also saw some huge lapses. there as absolutely things to appreciate though.

After 2 games it’s apparent this team has more holes than originally thought. The defense is still swish cheese for both the run and the pass. It’s going to be one of the worst units in the NFL again it’s at least trending that way after 2 games.
The offensive line is very suspect. They can’t run the ball, yes Smith will help. Steele might be the worst tackle in football.
The only strength right now is Dak and the passing game.
If this defense doesn’t get marginally better then this is going to be a long season.
They have a big test next week against Baltimore.
If they can slow down their run game then that will be an encouraging sign.

After two games, so far it still looks like we will need to score 30 to win each week. Not a formula for success (see 2024, 2025)

If Daniels hadn’t gotten hurt, I still think we would have won, but it would have been like that wild giants game last year…like 40-37 or something similar.

I honestly felt like this was a continuation of last season with some new faces on defense…yet with the same overall product.

Still too early to know what this team will be.

He was destroying us on the run and they still only got, what, 10pts out of it by the time he went off? 13?

Cowboys need to keep winning to prove themselves. I mean right now, all that they have proven is that they are 3rd in the NFC East. They have to earn a higher spot.

I thought the d was better rallying to the ball today… better communication….. and more blitzing second half. Which I liked. They were still awful but there are some encouraging signs.

Barham played well. I like his physicality. Hes still very slow but man he can come downhill. Downs had some ups and downs but you can see how he’s gonna be an impactful player for us (on the flip side I don’t think I heard Sonny styles name at all).

Maybe as the season grows we can continue to show improvement. Huge test for this defense next week.

Things to appreciate - offense and special teams.

Things to not appreciate- the defense. Was there a stronger effort? Sure but I’m not celebrating the minimum. They were gashed again in the run game. No pressure up front from the DL. Beat time after time in the secondary with soft coverage including multiple 3rd and longs. I’m more concerned about the defense this week than I was last week.
