If this was about any of the "Darling" QB's some of our posters love so much it would be "Did you see how they came through in the clutch" isnt that what we always hear...he cant come through in the clutch? Josh Allen throws 3 INT's but then throws the game winning TD and all we would hear from these guys is "Did you see that clutch TD Josh threw how come Dak cant do that"...
I have not heard one person, other than trolls, complain about Daks clutch performance ...... He played like a 60 Million dollar QB on that last drive.

Why are you guys acting like I have to acknowledge something? Who cares about California?

I was just proud of Dak for having 2 new records.
It was a way of bringing up how silly of a statement it is lol. And how you thought you were clever posting it when everyone else said it hours ago.

One time. Just one time it would be refreshing for any $$$ comment to assign criticism to someone other than the player. These young men are not paying themselves. They are getting paid.

Break off a chunk of that same distaste directed at what players are making and chunk it at Jerry Jones more often. He is the one writing the checks, while also thinking he is more vital THAN a simple check writer for his team.
We spent an entire offseason trashing Jones. Now it's time to trash his employees. I'll trash Jerry too for sure...but Dak accepted ...no ...DEMANDED the top salary...so he warrants criticism - no quarter given.

Yep...you can ask for whatever you want. The person that writes the checks decides.

lol.

Jerry Jones was trashed. Yeah. Dak Prescott was trashed. Yeah. By comparison, Jones is the garbage container and Prescott is the garbage truck's collection bin in real terms of overall trashing. My comment did not set a start or end time on the subject for either individual.

And I guess I must be more specific. I am not telling anyone to stop criticizing Prescott. Nope. Not what I am saying. What I am saying is the criticism effort should be more equal.

These enormous contracts way heavily on any team's salary cap. My CBA salary cap (and PUBLIC) criticism goes back to 1994 but I digress.

Yes. Prescott got paid. Criticize him for it. I just say folks should take a breath and consider the obvious. Prescott got paid because Jones made the decision to pay him.

The scenario did exist that Jones could have weighed the short- and long-term ramifications of not signing Prescott. That is part of the GM job description Jones is not qualified to do. Jones' decision to meet Prescott's demand falls solely on him. Prescott (and any other player for that matter) did not put a gun to his head and say 'stick-em up and hand over my money'.

That is all that I am saying but never mind. Toss boulders at one guy. Flick the boulders' leftover pebbles at the other guy. Equal criticism. Wait.

There is a time and place for everything. Schedule Prescott for target practice 10 pm - 6 pm and Jones from 6 pm - 10 pm. Efficient.

As fans do we have a right to complain about anything? We do not own the team, Jethro does. He can do whatever he wants to do with his team. Dak got paid because he is a very lucky fellow who fell into a big pile of good fortune when he was drafted and Romo went down, If he gets drafted by any other team he would likely be out of the NFL.
As a fan of many years I am stuck because I just cannot root for any other team. It kinda sucks but I can't root for another city's team than the one I grew up with.
So I am going to take a less emotional attachment to the team and just watch curiously.
OBTW, I stopped buying anything Cowboys related for over 10 years. I ain't giving Jerruh any more of my money to watch mediocrity for now near 30 years.

Also, I am not a troll. I know more about the Cowboys from being a fan for over 60 years than most on this board. But most importantly I know good football from bad and the team is not good.

This season, Prescott has eight touchdowns and seven turnovers (four interceptions and three fumbles lost). It is amazing what $$ can buy.
Every year he promises to clean up his turnovers.
When exactly does that happen?
Dak has not been good this year, but he was also the difference in that game and why you won it.
OTs are hot garbage; you are trying to develop a running back and you have 1 WR.
Dak put the ball on people insanely accurately all night even with insane pressure.
He also had insanely bad turnovers.

But anyone watching with an IQ above 50 in that game saw 1 struggling NFL team with a solid NFL quarterback and 1 NFL team that is really good but has a college level QB.

Dak had a crappy game, but he also won it in the end. I agree with the poster on here in another thread that said this was the type of game that makes him even more polarizing on here. People will see and stress the part of last nights game that helps their "Dak agenda". I mean look at the damn board! I swear half the people here are more interested in how Dak does (both good and bad) than how the team does. The Dak sucks crowd doesn't want him to play better because they are so dug in on their narrative. They want the team to score rushing TDs as much so they don't have to give Dak credit for throwing TDs as they do because it's good for the team (and the opposite for the "Dak is great crowd"). I bet a few were even thinking that at the 1/2 yard line last night even though all that mattered was scoring a TD no matter who or how. And the other side is no better, just a different agenda.

If you ask me those on both extremes of the Dak debate are crappy fans. One side makes excuses for why Dak didn't do better (the coaches, the receivers, the OL, the play calling, etc) and the other makes up reasons to justify it as being because of someone else when he does do well.

Stephen A Smith mentioned Cam Newton seeing a fumble in the SB and not jumping on it but Dak jumped on the Dowdle fumble on the 4 yr line . Is that praise ? Shouldn’t you jump on the fumble . What the heck that’s a low bar to top .
