Jennifer Baker of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga was held Friday morning on charges of drunken driving and careless driving at the Kenton County jail in Covington.

Maualuga, 23, of Cincinnati is scheduled to appear later Friday in Kenton County District Court for a video arraignment, jail officials said.

He was booked in shortly after 3 a.m. after Covington police pulled him over.

I have a theory about Cinci players getting into trouble. I think it's the city: honestly. Have you ever been there? It sucks. Not a whole lot to do. Especially in the winter for gosh sakes. If I made millions I'd get OUT of there as soon as the season was over. I wouldn't even own a home there. NIce condo would be cool and I'd probably rent because if you're only there from Sept.-Dec. it makes NO economic sense to own. 4-5 month per year stay = nice condo or house rental. Their are single family homes sitting everywhere in some of the nicest neighborhoods in Cinci right now. Rent a house, GET A LIMO SERVICE, and then move back home in the offseason. Just my two cents.

Sadly (at least for the Bungles), I knew exactly what Hos meant when I saw the title of this thread.....

I read something in a football article about how Brown doesn't really factor in off-the-field stuff in his evaluation of players. Sure shows up.
