It is official we are going to have winning record this year

We are going to have winning record this year. No more .500 for the boys until the owners change to an 18 game schedule. Then the SB winning teams will be the best at stashing talent on the practice squad to make up for the horrendous amount of injuries.

I've got a feeling it'll be 18 sooner than later. Maybe even as soon as next year. People didn't actually think we'd have a 17 game season at this point last year. 17 is just awkward and will be evened out soon so one team won't have that slight marginal edge of an extra home game come SB time. (This year the AFC.)

That 18th game will probably be another intraconference placement game, but this time opposite home/away.

Two wins we get the division.
We win next week and the loser of the WFT Philly game is out against us also as the NYG already are.
Then one more win or another loss by the winner of the WFT Philly game we win the division.

I believe if we win next week, and a combination of other teams losing, we will qualify for at least a WC spot.

Will look at all those scenarios in the morning.

I believe the new CBA had the owners adding the 17th game at anytime over the next 3 seasons including this season. Which obviously they did.
But adding an 18th game would not be added until the next CBA negotiations in 2030.

of course it does not mean they can’t negotiate it before.

They absolutely will if the trade off is getting 2 regular season bye weeks instead of 1. The players will ratify that faster than a new york minute.

Yes, but if all you did was read this board, you would think we were fighting for the last playoff spit versus having the fourth best record in the entire league (possibly third best depending on tonight's outcome) and worst case scenario of two games away from the best record in the league.
