Colts perfect season ends in Dallas.

The Colts saw their dreams of an unbeaten season go out the window as their former kicker, Mike Vanderjagt, sent a 41-yard kick through the uprights as time expired to lift the Cowboys to a three-point win. This game was a seesaw battle in which neither team ever moved out ahead by more than a touchdown. Peyton Manning was in top form but his Cowboys counterpart, Tony Romo, matched him quite well, getting his team on the board first with a 44-yard strike to Terrell Owens in the first quarter. The Colts answered quickly as Manning hit Reggie Wayne to tie the score, and Adam Vinatieri kicked a field goal to put the Colts up 10-7 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was a bit quieter, as the Cowboys scored on a Julius Jones screen pass to head into the break up 14-10, but the offenses geared back up in the third. Vinatieri hit two field goals to push the Colts to a two-point lead, and Dallas then drove the length of the field as Owens hauled in his second touchdown to make it 21-16. The Cowboys got a field goal early in the fourth to move up 24-16, and then Indy responded with an epic 16-play, 81-yard drive that ended with Manning hitting Dominic Rhodes out of the backfield for a touchdown that tied the game after a two-point conversion. From there, Dallas chewed the clock and took it down into field goal range to win on Vanderjagt's successful kick.

I would take these things more seriously if injuries were even considered. Isn't Stokley out? And look at the day he supposedly has.

Also, ESPN has "Accuscore", which is the score of a game that is generated after something like 10,000 simulated games on a computer(s).

Here's what ESPN says about "Accuscore":

AccuScore has powered more than 10,000 simulations for every NFL game for ESPN.com, calculating how each team's performance changes in response to game conditions and opponent's abilities. Each game is simulated one play at a time and the game is replayed a minimum of 10,000 times to generate forecasted winning percentages and player statistics, as listed above. For more, visit AccuScore or click on any module below to get more information on that game from the ESPN Insider Intel Report.

ESPN has "Accuscore" pick against Chris Mortenson, Joe Theisman, Jaws, Mike Golic, Hodge, etc. The computer prognosticator is currently tied for the lead with Jaworski at 89-55 for the season... meaning that the computer method is pretty accurate.

If you click on the link below, you can see who picked Dallas to win. There were only two picking us: Chris Mortenson and "Accuscore". The good news is that "Accuscore" is, like I mentioned, tied for first place. The bad new is that Chris Mortenson is all alone in last place, lol.

Also, by clicking on the Dallas star in "Accuscore's" picks, you can go to a page that has the breakdown of what "Accuscore" did. Unless, I'm mistaken, it looks like the computers think Dallas wins every matchup... even QB(?)... including overall. Here's the link for that page:

Anyway, I guess I'd rather the computer pick us to win than not pick us... but I don't think it means very much either way.

In Madden, Tony Romo would have the athletic stats of a backup quarterback. That means his rating is lower than Bledsoe's (in the game). So it's impressive we won, but if they were to input his real skill numbers, we would win by more than a FG!

Madden ratings are skewed for backups, it's more of, since he's a backup, he must not be very good, so he's gonna have maybe one good quality
