I really like the way Dallas approached free agency this year and that's aggresively, they targeted Carr and wasn't going to be denied.

In previous years people on this board was accused of "panicking" in the first few days of free agency when the Cowboys were not major players and other teams were signing all the top guys. I think our strategy was to wait and let everyone else overpay and then get "value" later with second tier fa's. The problem with that strategy is just that, you get "second tier" fa's.

I've been critical of the organization before and probably will in the future but kudos to Jerry and the front office, I think they upgraded the talent as much as they could given the situation.

The cb (Carr) was a must and they didn't let him leave VR like they would have in previous years, I like the FB signing (real fb and tough guy), addressed the need for a backup qb (with playing experience) to name a few.

Hopefully the we can have as much success with the draft as we have with free agency.

You can't be a big player in free agency every year (unless you're the Commanders). The fact that they have not been big spenders the past couple of years allowed the Cowboys to take the more agressive approach this year.
