It seems like nobody is going to give Dallas a chance of winning on Saturday

With the way things are going right now, the reaction I've been hearing about the upcoming Saturday game is how the Cowboys have no chance of winning in New Orleans.

The way people have been talking, you think the Saints should be forfeited the win before Saturday and Dallas should not even showing up.

This is what I've read:

"the annual December downturn has hit in the form of a two-game losing streak that isn't likely to end Saturday night at the Superdome."

"Forfeit the Dec. 19 visit to New Orleans. Concentrate on the other four stretch-run games."

"Forfeit the New Orleans game. Just don’t go."

"we know the beatdown that awaits in New Orleans the following week."

I have a sneaking suspicion that this could be bulletin board material, since everyone in the country is going to pretty much say Saints win big.

But.... we've seen stranger things happen.

Remember- Washington, on the road, 1991.

Similarly, that Dallas team was traveling to face a team like this year's Saints- a killing machine in their turf.

I'm going to go on record and predict we win

Last couple weeks Ive felt like we'd lose this game(SD) and win the NO game.

I dont know why

If they couldnt beat the Chargers and coudnt beat the G-men (who got 50 dropped on them tonight), what makes you think we have any chance at all???

Other than just hoping they win, I cannot come up with any logical reason why they should.

I know it is hard, but sometimes fans just have to accept the fact that their team is just not that good. Face it guys, we are just not that good right now.

I hope and pray one of the mediots writes an article titled, "I guess they are losers after all." And rips them for two pages....
ESPN??? Who has a pair that would write it?

Um, this afternoon's loss is barely a few hours old. No one is thinking about Saturday.

I think they'll beat us, sure. I see no reason to feel otherwise.

But as a fan, I blindly hope we'll win out.

why would anyone have any confidence in us?
big packers game-choke
big Giants game; put them out-choke
Big chargers game-biggest game of the year for us so far-no backbone, heart or killer instinct-check.....

People seem to have the impression that the Saints are playing great, when they're really not. Over the last 7 games or so they've struggled quite a bit, and mostly against poor competition. Outside of the NE and TB games, they were in a position to lose (Atlanta twice, Carolina, St. Louis, Washington - which 99% of the time would have been a loss). If teams don't turn the ball over against them, their defense is pretty much swiss cheese.

For the most part they haven't been playing any better than Dallas has.

Saints should have lost to the Falcs today and the Skins had them on the ropes last week. The Saints are far from unbeatable.

Actually, so far, that's exactly what they are. Unbeatable.

They should have lost and won, we should have won and lost. There's a galaxy of difference there.

Oh I moved onto Saturday about 30 minutes after the loss today.

I generally move onto what we've got next within 30 minutes to an hour. I'll still talk about it, or comment on it, in threads and stuff but it's time to move onto Saturday and likely one of our ugliest losses in team history.

I never gave us a good shot in this game before I heard Ware would be out. Now that I've heard he'll miss that game I don't think we've got any sort of shot.

Bulletin board material, huh? I think you have to have pride and cojones to even motivate you to play to a higher level after reading that. But honestly, I don't think this team really gives a crap. It seems like as long as they get their weekly paycheck, hey everything is rosy.....and besides, if they forfeited the game, they may not get that big check. I wish they would get paid ONLY if they win the game. Now that would motivate them.

And yeah, there will be a beatdown in NO. It will be like the one the Saints laid on the Parcell Cowboys in Texas Stadium several years ago. In the famous words of Apollo Creed, "Prediction?......PAIN".

If we do win, it will definitely give us renewed confidence and a lot of momentum down the stretch. If we do win i see us making a nice little run here....

But i don't see it happening. This team has shown me nothing that would make me think they will win this game in a hostile environment. Our defense is getting worse and our offense simply cannot put up enough points. Sad to say it, but its time to get rid of some guys who simply have not produced enough.

Newman is now a liability out there. Sensabaugh is looking bad, but hopefully he can turn it around. And our oline is a complete mess

that kind of an argument is so fallacious it is pitiful, we beat the Eagles who beat the Giants twice who beat us twice, seeing who beat whom and then saying, well if we can't beat that team etc, it is has no bearing

logical reason, the Saints are due for a loss, they barely beat a Falcon team without its starting QB and RB, a team we crushed earlier in the year.

The Saints can afford a loss given they have a two game lead in the home field race and could be facing a let down.

We will have to play a near perfect game so it will be difficult to win but I am not yet about to give up hope
