It was not pretty but we learned a lot

This was a classic trap game. We won the game last week nobody thought we could and got a week worth of love. Add in the trip to Seattle next week and this was a game we have been losing since the mid-90's...we didn't.

We played a pretty good team highly motivated to beat us and we played like crap along the way. The Cowboys always lose these games right? We didn't.

The defense that is supposed to be awful looks pretty damned good with McClain blowing people up. Keep him healthy and throw in recovering players like Melton and Spencer getting stronger and we will be okay. A boost from Lawrence in a few weeks could mean we have a solid D down the stretch.

Murray needs to run all game like he does after he fumbles. You could see him wrapping both arms late in the game. I for one am very willing to trade a few extra yards for ball security.

I think Tony got hurt a bit on the play he had Watt fall on him just as he threw. He was noticeably falling away the rest of the game.

We have won the last two that recent history suggested we'd lose. This team is looking different.

I truly think some of the players were looking ahead to Seattle, but we can't know for sure.

Either way, they certainly won a game that they used to lose.

That OL is fantastic. Even on an off day for the whole offense, they opened up enough lanes for Murray to almost get 150.

I noticed Romo limping too, sort of like in the Commanders game last year. I hope he's good to go.

I don't think we played like crap. Take out the two fumbles it's something like 31-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Fumbles suck, particularly when you're at the goal line, but it happens.

Actually, we have been great against teams with losing records. We beat up bad teams quite often. The problem is that we lose to winning teams, hence the perennial 8-8.

I was somewhat disappointed and worried during the game. I felt like this looked too much like the Cowboys teams of the last few years. Playing down to the competition and doing the things that allow inferior opponents to stay in the game. But,unlike teams of the past. I think there are some younger players on this team that are bringing a different attitude than players of the recent past. I think this team is going to have more games like last week and fewer games like today as the season wears on.

I think people are underestimating the Texans. Their defense is very good. They'd be a playoff team if they had a decent QB. They're two years removed from having the best record in football.

They won two games last year.

If I said we would have a 4 game winning streak at some point during this season, I would've been banned.

I'm seeing a team that is finding ways to win and most importantly these guys are playing for each other.

I have no room for complaints.

But I still think they had a top 5 defense. And last year was just a series of unfortunate events. They're a much better team than that. They're probably somewhere between what they were last year and what they were the year before.

They're 1 year removed from having the worst record in football.

Oh and their gift for being so bad, didn't play today.

We're the better team and we did not play to our level today.

Top 5? They were 7th in yards, last in turnovers, and 24th in points allowed.

I remember seeing some games where they said they had a top 5 (or maybe 10) defense. I think their offense was just so horrendous. Regardless, I'm sticking to my story -- the Texans are a decent team this year. They're the only team with a legitimate shot of challenging the Colts. I wouldn't be shocked up if they won 8-9 games this year.

They won't have a winning record at the end of the year. They aren't a good team. You're embarrassing yourself at this point.
