iTouch: Is there no cure for this addiction..

A few more cool things you can do with that:

- Get a pair of headphones with a microphone (~$30) and download the free Skype app. Then you can use it like a phone and make/receive calls when you are near a wireless connection

- Get the Sports Radio app so you can listen to The Ticket, or any other sports radio station, from anywhere, any time

- For sports news, go for the CBS Football app. it also has real-time tracking of your fantasy team if you use Sportsline.

Someone needs to create the CowboysZone app. :D

Never understood the appeal of watching a movie or TV on a 2 inch screen.

If you get dragged to church, you would appreciate it.

You are just Mr. Pessimist.

:laugh2: Sometimes not bringing a constant negative to a thread is a good thing.

You should make a NY resolution about that.

I encourage it. :laugh2: itouch and iPhone are just the BOMB. Get over the hate.

I have an iPhone. Have had it for a while and have never watched a movie on the damn thing. YouTube app, you betcha but never watched a movie on it.

The screen is over Three inches. It's suprising how good video looks on it. :)

Well, it's easy to not see flaws in low-res video when your screen is only 3 inches long.

I second the "freeappalert". its a good one.

Here are some that I love....

Pandora (google it if you're not familiar)
redlaser (only app I've ever paid money for, and worth EVERY PENNY)
theweatherchannel (live radar is incredibly fast. Can't live without it)
facebook
twitter
scanner (listen to police and fire radio all over the country)
cheapgas (finds the cheapest price on gas wherever you are)
FAST (cool fighter jet video game)
google earth (I have this on every computer I own)
scorecenter (sports scores)

I've bought a few games:

Madden
Let's Golf! (similar to other 3d golf games)
N.O.V.A. (first person shooter)

Madden is kinda hard to play but let's golf and nova are pretty fun.

Anymore cool apps?

Im tempted to start a thread but I may wait until I get mine this week.

Cowboyway im going to give some of those a try.

What exactly is red laser?

Two thumbs up for Red Laser here as well...

Phone Flicks - Let's you manage your NetFlix account)
DirecTV - You can program your DVR from your iPhone
CamZoom - Lets you zoom on your cam. For some reason Apple missed the boat on that.
Flashlight - Turns your iPhone into a flashlight.
Yelp - It's Yelp...
craigsphone - Craigslist for your phone
Flixter - Tells you what movie theatres are near and what's playing
myCaddie - GPS for Golf Courses
TripCase - If you travel alot, this one is great to have. It keeps flight info, alerts you of delays, scheduling and stuff...

Lets say you're in a store, and you see a product you want. But you don't know if its a good price or a bad price. This app will tell you.

Hit the button and the camera turns on and there are two bars on the screen. Simply move the camera to fit the barcode of the product in between the bars and the phone does the rest.

It will instantly check the barcode of your product, and search the interenet for the best price. It will also tell you where the best price is locally, so if you want to buy it, you can go pick it up from a store in the area you are currently in.

The app was 1.99, and it is the best 1.99 you'll ever spend.

Just get it, you won't be sorry.

You can jailbreak that sucker and have even more fun.

It depends on what bootloader you have whether or not your JB will be tethered/untethered.

I have two iPhones (3G and 3GS0) and a touch that I develop on.

Take a look at modmyi for info on jailbreaking.

I have my phone setup so that I can stream live tv to it from anywhere on 3G or wifi.

You can, sorta, at least with the iphone.

1. Open the browser, and type in www.cowboyszone.com
2. Click on the plus symbol at the bottom center of the browser.
3. Select "Add to home Screen", and assign a name to it.

Doing this will create a little app button on your screen that when selected, will pull up the zones website for you. Kinda like having your favorites on your home screen vs. in the browser itself. I have them for various sites.

Last night, I downloaded pacman, and roids79 "asteroids", and been playing the heck out of it. Haven't played those games in ages.

"Blurb" is a cool little app that turns your iphone into a scrolling display. It came in handy a few weeks back at the Mavs game. I was sitting in platinum, and they have waitresses that take your food order, so you dont have to go to the concession stand. We were in the center of the row, so it was hard to verbally give our order. I typed in the order, hit play, then held my phone up. she read the order from the end of the row, and a few minutes later, our order arrived. Comes in handy at bars, and restaurants too.

It also, it has a feature where you can reverse the text so you can tell the drivers who cut you off what you think of them. :D

I probably overlooked it but I can't find The Ticket on the sports radio app. I found The Fan for Dallas but not The Ticket.

I live in the dc area and would love to hear local Dallas sports talk. Is anyone able to get The Ticket on the iPhone?

look for an app called "fstream". Download it (its free), and you'll find the ticket on there.

If you need help putting in the info for the station, pm me.
(the above sentence will make sense when you get the app)

This might help too http://www.theunticket.com/iphone-streaming/
