Oh, the irony. One cannot mention certain names or topics as it relates to billionaires, but in the same thread there are multiple posts openly discussing alleged infidelities of said owners, their families, their spouses, whose at fault, etc., which some might consider libel.

First, are there currently zero CowboysZone members who are owners, family members, spouses, etc., who have read comments on this site and could/have subsequently judged such content as libelous. The probability does exist such entities might have pursued legal action if that were the case--just as they have the capability of doing the same after reading or hearing content on any other public medium.

Additionally, the comments in this thread have been directed at non-Cowboyszone members. Any CowboysZone member would be hard pressed making a case for libel when comments have not been made about them.

Second, there are zero site rules concerning libel and slander. There are rules concerning other actions members might take while posting on the site.

After listening to Bill Belichick talk on inside the NFL about after being in the parades that he could see how much it meant to the fan base to win the championship in New England and how much it meant to the city and the people in it and it really had an effect on him.
Jerry has no conscience he has no loyalty to his fan base there's no loyalty no sense of obligation to the city of Dallas and all the fans of the Cowboys.
The only thing he is loyal to is making the most out of his investment and doing whatever makes him the most money.

He has no morals no scruples no empathy for the suffering he puts his fan base through on a yearly basis.

I live in the Philadelphia area and yes they can be a horrible god-forsaken group of people but they love their football team and their owner loves the fan base and he knows what it means to them and strives to put the best team on the field at all times.
We've seen him make mistakes Chip Kelly Carson Wentz but the guy picks up starts from scratch and retools and creates winning teams because he doesn't quit on his fan base and sell out for just his own profit.

Jerry on the other hand has no conscience and quit on his fan base long ago to pursue strictly his own material gain at the expense of his fan base and City and it's really that simple He's just never going to do what's necessary to get us over the top.

It's always going to be some half-assed effort that makes him the most money and gives the fan base false hope strings us along and just dangles the carrot in front of our nose.

The man is a carnival Barker with the morals of an alley cat that has ruined America's team and will continue to take advantage of our loyalty to the star and use it to his advantage and his family after him will do the same thing that's where we're at as Cowboys fans

Part of me wanted that as well, but I also didn’t want to see him fail, because he would probably never get another NFL shot. I’m fully convinced that the next coach…..whoever it would have been…is destined for failure by the FO not replenishing a continuously depleting roster and a declining Prescott.

This team wasn’t good enough years ago at its peak, and the roster is getting worse in front of their eyes, yet they think that somehow adds up to being in good shape.

The answer is to pay the stars more money. Jerry honestly expects Prescott, Lamb and Parsons to take over games themselves because of their pay.

They couldn’t win when they were paying those guys nothing.

Another thing I'd like to touch on is his lack of appreciation for our history.

He has no appreciation for the cowboy players that came before he bought the team the ones that made us America's team and made us great.

Many of us old guys on here were Cowboys fans from the time they very first started following football and were able to understand the game.

I've never heard Jerry talk about who his favorite team was and who he followed back in the day does anybody have any history on this.

I think the Cowboys were formed around the time he graduated high school because he won a championship with Arkansas in the mid-60s.

It would be interesting to see if he was a Cowboys fan or who his favorite team really was.

If he had a genuine deep appreciation for this franchise's history, he would not have let two decades pass with us in the wilderness.

If he had a sympathy for the fanbase, he wouldn't be caught frolicking with the likes of Stephen A. Smith, who ridicules the fanbase 24/7/365.

The lack of empathy for what he has done is a remarkable insight into his flawed character.

I almost totally agree but from hindsight of March 28, 1994 to today. Before that infamous date, Jerry Jones' stagnant managerial influence was minimized by Jimmy Johnson.

What might have happened in an alternate reality? There are too many what ifs to list. Perhaps most scenarios would have been much better than this static, logic defying, Jerry World bubble he has trapped us all within with him. Maybe other scenarios would have been worse than his circus big top. No one can know for sure.

What is known is how well the franchise can function when Jones takes a full secondary role. It has been a LONG time but those of us who witnessed his first five years know what was possible because it happened.

True stuff -- Jerry's special brand of toxic poisoning wasn't fully in force until he gained full control as GM.

Jimmy, acting as GM for a while, did a superb job of minimizing it. Once Jerry took over, decline ensued.

He's a liar and he purposely deceives fans.
Telling the fan base that he's going all in and he does the complete opposite doesn't participate in free agency sets the team up for complete failure
