It's all noise

Should we have released Gurode?
Did the Cowboys treat him poorly?
Who will be the 53rd man on the roster?

I don't disrespect anyone who is interested in that. Truth is, it's these kinds of topics that we all talk about most of the time on a board like this. (And it is what makes it so much fun and so enjoyable)

What if scenarios, predictions, someone is great and someone is lousy...

We are only a little while away from when all the noise will go away and we will find out exactly what we have. The regular season opener will be here.

We won't care who #53 was, because he will barely see the field, if he is not on special teams.

We won't remember Gurode, unless the center position eats our lunch.

All of our predictions will be forgotten except for those who get it right and they (or we) will proclaim from the football mountain tops how much football they (or we) know.

The opinions about who is lousy or who is great won't ever change... you will still think they are lousy and someone else will still think they are great REGARDLESS of what the performance actually indicates.

This is the most miserable time of the preseason for me. We have a dead game on Thursday.... and then 10 days of waiting.

Then the noise stops (at least for awhile) and we actually get to the real deal, the games that count.

I can't wait.

The noise will stop for exactly 3 plays into the first regular season game. THen there will be nothing but chirping from one side or the other. lol

That's the nature of being a fan of a professional sports team.

Very true! But at least then we will be talking about something that counts! And that is what I'm looking forward to. Cowboys - Jets... can't wait.

Cowboys/Jets was my shining beacon throughout the whole labor crapola. The Ryan boys are going to face off, during week one at that! It's the main game I wanted to see all season and it's right there at jump. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? :D

Yes sir, and do you know what my noise is likely to be about?

I will give you a hint, he has red hair and has an Ivy League education.

And I'll be making that same noise with you Hos! Gonna be a lot of fun this year.

I'm on that bandwagon too! I have total and complete confidence in JG. People need to stop freaking out.

The truth is that Dallas finally got a clue hit on some OLinemen.

Tyron Smith isn't Jacob Rogers or Rob Petitie.

No Kowlaski isn't a Clay Shiver.

Arkin already shows more than other prospects the Cowoys have taken in the top 3 rounds.

Furthermore Nagy and Costa are playing better than Arkin or Kowlaski.

Nobody is saying they are the best in the NFL, but they are alot better than what we fielded a year ago and our Young Olinemen are already achieving alot more than the many Busts along the OLine we've had to endure.

Put that with everyone who has been harping on the lackluster play up front for the last 3 years and you get some ungaurded optimism. That's a relief!

I'm perfectly fine with Free, Nagy, Costa, Kosier, and Smith. It may backfire, but if it works, I feel good about this line for a while.
