It's crazy, no one is angrier at Jerry Jones than the fans

In a typical season, usually fans of other teams call out the players and the owner for being pathetic. Lately, Cowboys fans are demonstrating the meltdown for Jerry to see. The biggest fans of the Cowboys are unified behind the cure: Jerry has to sell the team. New leadership, new life, or else... what... Things will continue to implode, without a major change. Figure it out, Jerry, the fans are done with you... Congrats.

Some fans have forgotten Dallas won a couple of championships when Jimmy Johnson kept Jerry Jones running (and fuming) in his own lane. Jones could sell the team but the possibility is almost absolute zero. It is also a stretch expecting Jones to go back to how it was thirty years ago, hire a competent head coach and get out of everyone's way. However, the latter strategy is FAR more likely to ever happen than the former.

Jerry doesn’t need to sell the team, he just needs to get out of the way as far as on the field stuff, and quit insisting on being a celebrity.

The only other times he has had success on the field is when a HOF coach was running the show.

Of course thats what probably drives his ego to incessantly attempt to disprove it.

Yep, you're right... but after the opening quarter in the last few games, I've just turned it off, and found other projects to do. The quality of play is so devastatingly bad. More than 40 years of being a fan... and I can't bear to watch the games, even though I have the time.

The best you’ll get is him saying he’s stepping down while being every bit as involved as he is now. He’ll go man behind the curtain at absolute best and even then I highly doubt it.

I agree, and in fact Jerry would do a service by being "Director of Marketing and Hype"

Stephen relinquishes his current position and can stay in finances by handling the "Accounts Receivable" department.

We are basically doomed until Jerry moves on.

A decade ago we had a developer who was non stop trying to find projects to build. One day he walked in our office and stated he was 74 years old and wanted to just step back and retire.
I've always hoped Jerry would do the same as the GM. Alas, I doubt that will happen, but a fun thing to think of here and there.

I harbor no anger nor ill
will toward this 80 year old man, however, how much would it cost me to have someone use a drone to drop a flaming brown bag of dung on the poop deck of Jerry yacht?

The Jones family is going to own the Cowboys for a long time.....it's a printing press for money for the family.

At this point, the only hope is that the keys to the empire aren't left to Stephen...even though all signs point to that being the case. Maybe all 3 kids get left equal parts and they decide to step back and let a GM run the show....since surely Jerry Jr. and Charlotte understand that their older brother isn't the answer.

Even then, our only hope is that Stephen would sell the team. Which, he likely won't. So then, it's up to Spaulding.
Unfortunately, by then, most of us will be long gone or, at least, sipping Jell-O in a home somewhere babbling about the good ol' days...lol/smh
Why the nickname Spaulding?
