Robert Quinn. The reports are out there....brain tumor, missed 2010..blah..blah. But IMHO...the most dynamic player in the draft (Julio Jones a close second). I dont see how offenses could contend with Ware on other side and Ratliff collapsing the pocket with Ryan sending waves of blitz packages.

Don't know if he can play OLB in a 3-4 and he certainly doesn't fit as a DE in a 3-4 either. He'll be perfect in a 4-3 scheme IMO.

He plays and look a lot like Ware

almost identical size of Ware...so why are we thinking he cant play in 3-4? If we are talking about Aldon Smith...then you have case because he is stiff ...but Quinn doesnt appear to have those issues.

I think everyone thinks he can play in a 3-4.

They probably wont draft him b/c they are leaking on the line and in the secondary but I think the guy is legit. If Spencer turns it on in a contract year(as expected) then even better. 3 pass rushers is fine by me. And if Spencer balls out and walks next year well then you have your bookend pass rusher in Ware/Quinn and a comp pick for Spencer and didnt have to overpay for a lazy player.

Gotta love how you sort of glaze over those two things as if we're talking about him just having a slight headache and missing a few snaps of football, lol.

He does look like Ware alittle but Ware was much better vs the run and getting off blocks. Anyways we have a WOLB in Ware, the best in the NFL. Where would Quinn play. SOLB and WOLB are two different positions. Its about alot more than rushing the QB.

SOLB has to be able to cover the TE and RB out of the flat, also you playing on the strong side so your going to see the TE alot more and more runs at your side. You have to be able to get off the TE block and doubles and make the open field tackle. Quinn I have never seen do any of those. I still like SPencer and I think in Ryans defense he will be told to attack more as Phillips made him play it safe. Quinn would scare me as a SOLB in a 3-4 due to how weak he is vs the run.

Say what you will about Aldon Smith but Smith is the best SOLB prospect. Watch Smith as he can get through blocks, stuff a run, and still get to the QB. Yes Smith is alittle stiff but he does everyhting you want him to do as a SOLB.

The other best SOLB is Justn Houston, has better speed than Smith, can get off blocks and stuff the run but just not as strong as Smith.

If your talking about WOLB it goes Miller, Quinn, Houston, Reed, Houston, Smith but if you talking about a 3-4 SOLB it's just Smith, Houston, Reed. Miller and Quinn I don't see as 3-4 SOLB. Maybe in GB or Pitt where they just attack and zone blitz, and mix up blitz but Ryan doesn't run that LeBeau style defense.

This guy is going to be an animal.

I'd take over Spencer in a second.

I got flamed for saying the same thing.

haha why?

This guy has a non stop motor.

He is productive and my favorite was he was a really good Highschool wrestler.

If im stuck with the 9th pick and Peterson and Tyron are gone im drafting Quinn if available.

Robert Quinn is clearly a good option for the Cowboys. I think there are several good option in front of the Cowboys.

Between Peterson, Smith, and Quinn he would probably give us the best rookie impact.

I think it would be a mistake to draft him at 9. I'm not a big Spencer fan, but i think its too early to give up on him, and there are other positions to address. If we're not going o-line, i'd prefer to trade down and go after Watt or Cam Jordan and get an extra pick.

Pass rush is just so important though and we have lacked a dynamic pass rush.

If anything this will make Spencer a better player because he knows if he doesn't step up that we have a reinforcement.

I like what Spencer can do but I hate depending on the guy because I feel like he takes plays/games off.

Maybe so. I like him would be happy with the pick but there are other option I would be just as happy with. I think the 9 spot is a great place to be.

Been saying it all along, you can never have enough pass rushers. Rob will figure out a way to get all of these guys on the field at the same time.

His lean around the corner looks very familiar doesn't it?

Quinton Coples would be a great pick up in next years draft if Spencer doesn't show anything htis year under Ryan and leaves. But I think we have to many other needs this year. We need starters at some other positions before we can draft a player where we have a current starter.

Spencer is nothing special. Ware made him look good. Adding a Quinn who has a chance to also be special makes that secondary look a whole lot stronger.

Spencer shouldn't impede dallas from taking Quinn. You can never have enough depth at Pass Rusher. Considering Ryan is on board...you better believe he is pitching for someone with Quinn ability. Right now Ware is seeing triple team at times....and that has to stop. You draft Quinn and you see how much Newman and Jenkins all of the sudden look good. There simply is no way for offense to account for Ware, Ratliff and emerging Bowen and a Quinn. Teams wont be able to max protect Ware. As Jimmy Johnson said long ago....you have to have the horses upfront first. I like Aldon Smith...i just think he has zero chance at 3-4 OLB...as he is purely a 4-3 DE. Houston is nice player and I wouldnt mind trading down for him...but we are talking #9 here.
