It's getting old!

Exactly, it's just like when Parcells was here, what did he ever do? Certainly didn't win a Super Bowl.

Newtonian logic. What did Bill begin with? Help us with your compare and contrast, please.

Parcells couldn't win in the post season here. He was 2 games above .500. That will never get you to a Super Bowl.

If you look back, Romo didn't earn the starting job until partway through BP's final season. While I do think BP was at the end of the line, he was still 10x the HC Wade ever will be and would've been far more successful here if he had someone like Romo starting from day one like Wade was able to inherit.

Bottomline is that Wade is a mediocre HC and has had his hands tied on top of it.

This is one of those rare posts where I do believe that I've got to agree with you Bach.

I think Wade is a mediocre coach. I don't think it makes him a bad one, or anything of that nature, but he's just an average coach.

Now that's better than what a lot of teams in the NFL have and winning more than we lose is certainly better than being the Commanders, Lions, Browns, Rams, or Oakland where you're constantly changing coaches and losing far more than you win year after year.

But Wade is definately just a mediocre coach. But I'm still going to root for that mediocre coach to do great and win a lot more games and hopefully a championship.

And you will never understand the difference, so no point in discussing it.

Huh? I don't know if that was directed at me, I suppose it was cause I was the last post above you, but if it was your post makes zero sense other than you having nothing of substance to bring back to the conversation so you went with tried and true method of deflecting your lack of anything worthwhile to the table by telling others they don't understand.

If that is directed at me I can only guess it's because I said having a mediocre Wade and winning more than we lose is better than what some teams have.

Does that mean I don't want more? Absolutely not. It just means I'm not interested in having the Cowboys turn back into what they were from 2000-2002 or being like those other franchises who lose all the time.

If that wasn't directed toward me then I appologize for not realizing you weren't speaking to me.

It Wasn't:)

Succinct and unassailable. I thought that BP would have to go, primarily because he had reached the end of his rope with Jerry and TO (Jerry's anti BP injection). But I wasn't that worried, because I thought that Jerry had learned the obvious lesson that the Cowboys will only improve with real independent and empowered coaching staffs, at that point having succeeded with the real coaching model for the 2nd time after so many many failures. But no, the idiot jumped back on "I'm in charge" Barry Ball coaching style immediately upon Bill's departure.

Sadly...this:bang2:

Jerry's ego really knows no equal, nor his retardedism.

Jerry's way led to 3 straight 5-11 seasons, even an over-the-hill BP took that mess and made us a playoff team with three winning seasons in 4 years. So when BP left, what did Jerry do? He reverted right back to his same old failed ways. Simply unfathomable.

Why is everyone so quick to believe everything they hear or read? This player says this, Wade says that... Is it possible that the players and coaches both pay lip service to the media? Is it possible that these people who are giving the quotes on various things are either stressed because they just lost a game and are speaking out of emotion rather than intellect or could it be that, as in Wades case, he's just not a good public speaker?
I find it so humorous when people say Wade has no authority in over the players just by what he tells the media. I'm glad he doesn't bash his players in public. What would be the point? Just to make the media and fans feel good? He could jump and scream and spit hellfire and if they were losing the fans and media would still be all over him.
And to that point... why do people feel like that is the only way to properly coach a team? Do you really think these players are scared of their coaches? Its all an act. You want Rex Ryan? What has he ever won? You want Mike Singletary? What has he ever won? We had Bill Parcells, big scary guy that he is, what did he ever win here? You can look at the rest of the league and there are all types of coaches with all types of personalities winning and losing.
I don't assume to have the answers as I'm not privy to what REALLY goes on behind the scenes but all this whining about the coaches, Jerry, et al just slays me.
Feel free to commit harakiri or just sit back and watch where the season goes like I'm going to do. Crybabies unite!

 , Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones RULE!

You should post more often. That was fun.
Ahhh I prefer to just lurk until the irritation builds up at some of the insane ramblings that we see on this board. I swear it seems like some people just have to ***** or their lives aren't complete.

There was no where to go but up. Not denying Parcells wasn't a good coach. But so is Wade. Parcells built up our team, but he couldn't win a playoff game. Just wasn't meant to be. Wade has done that up to this point, and I'm hoping some of you cut him a little slack and just let him try and build upon last year's success. Season is long from over!

14-2 until proven otherwise!

He won 11 games with Quincy Carter as his quarter back. Wade is 0-2 with all the talent on this team. The bottom line is winning. The season isnt over yet but our coaches are NOT putting players in the best position to win and neither is Jerry going with an unproven kicker.

You do know there's a reason those kickers are on the street right now. What makes you think we pick one up and the job they do is any better?

Stover might not have a big leg but he is consistent. The coaching staff clearly has ZERO faith in Beuhler or they would of let him kick the 55 yard FG.

We never should've released Folk in the first place. Should've just put him on IR last year and brought him back to see if his problems were just injury related or not. The way he started his career he definitely deserved another shot.
