My # 1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats took out the Tarheels (barely) and my Cowboys will continue to solidify a playoff run. Great time of year!!!!!

The Beagles already lost. The Packers are going to beat the Gay Ants. The Jets are going to beat the Washing Some Headskins.

Cuse beat #9 Florida last night, Tiger is in the lead, and my New York Rangers can win their 5th straight tonight :)

What if you're a Tar Heels fan?

In college basketball I am a Tarheels fan, and I partial to the ACC when it comes to college basketball. So Kentucky squeaked it out today, still early though, I figure my Tarheels will lose no more than 4 games and win the National Championship. Since the days of Phil Ford.

In College football I am a Irish CornHusker I follow Notre Dame and Nebraska, I've been a fan of these teams since Johnny Rodgers of Nebraska, and Joe Montanna from Notre Dame.

NBA, Miami Heat Every since Wade has been there. Before Wade, I followed Michael Jordan, my favorite athlete of all time.
NFL Dallas Cowboys 46yrs

I was a Baylor fan when Grant Teaff was the coach, he had Walter Abercrombie, Dennis Gentry, Bruce Davis, Mike Singletary, Gerald McNeal

Reining champions UCONN won today too!

It started out good for me, lets hope it continues. My home town HS won the SJ football championship in their group.

Regular season college basketball is the most meaningless bunch of games in all of sports.

What? How is it different than any other sport's regular season?

You have to have a winning record and generally be a legitimately good team to make the playoffs in every other sport. Over half the field gets in the tourney in this sport and you don't even have to have a winning record!

What are you talking about? :laugh2: Generally speaking, you have to win at least 20 games to get in, and most regular seasons are only about 32-35 games or so. A lot of 20-win teams don't even get in. The only way a team with a losing record would be in the NCAA tournament is to win their conference tourney at the end of the regular season. That's probably happened in NCAA history, but it's not the norm.

You must be confusing the NCAA with the NBA. In the NBA exactly half of the teams go to the playoffs, and teams with losing records get in.

I have to disagree. In college, regular season means quite a bit because you're playing for high seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Most of the time, # 1 seeds do very well. Of course, the # 1 seeds are the best teams, so the chicken/egg question comes into play. Regardless, getting the highest seed possible is very important.

Wrong again. Currently 68 teams make the NCAA Tournament. There are over 300 division 1 college basketball programs. Don't get me wrong, I did not agree with putting four more teams in the tournament, but it is VERY rare that a team with a losing record makes the tournament. VERY rare. It only happens when a team wins its conference tournament and one with a losing record almost never wins those tournaments. Believe me. I follow college hoops as closely as the NFL.
