It's now time to focus on the "other" line.

Now that the team has spent 3 of the last 4 1st rd. picks to help build the best offensive line in the NFL, it's time to focus on the other side of the LOS. Rod Marinelli worked miracles with mediocre talent this past season. Now, it's time for a 3-4 year run of D-linemen in the first round to give him the studs to dominate on defense. My 1st 2015 three round mock:

1-27- Malcolm Brown, DT, Texas: 6-4, 320. Time to bring in an athletic, mean one-technique to stuff the middle.

2-59- Hau'oli Kikaha, DE, Washington: 6-3, 250. 19 sacks in 2014 led the FBS, along with 25 TFLs. Move Lawrence to LDE, & you've got a tandem who will reek havoc on the league for a decade. Would trade up if necessary.

3-91- Daryl Williams, OT, Oklahoma: 6-5, 320. Quality OT to replace Free & strengthen the weakest link on the offensive line.

Like your thought process, but within the next 3 to 4 years one of those 1st round picks is going to have to be a QB. I don't think we need all 1st round DL players to have a quality defense.

2015 draft - 2 within the 1st 3 picks

that's a lot of talent on the DL if we hit on the picks. I think we have on the 1st two guys, fingers crossed for this draft and a quality FA DE.

We already have 2 young starters on the DL. We won't have future first rounders who are guaranteed to be backups for all their Dallas careers.

I think we are saying the same thing. I don't think we need to spend the 1st round of the next 3-4 years on DL. We already have Crawford and DLaw. With a FA DE this year or 2 of the first 3 picks this year on DL, and they are hits, the process is complete.
