How ironic would it be that Cassel comes in and plays lights out, takes them to the playoffs - possibly the AFC Championship game - and Brady loses his job due to injury? Remember, that's how Brady got the job over Bledsoe.

Hate to see a player go down like that... especially one of the marquis players in the league...

I guess since Goodell wouldn't punish them appropriately, God did it himself...

An MCL and ACL tears will cost him probably a year and a half. Just remember how bad McNabb and Carson Palmer were after coming back to early.

Bellacheat wouldn't say what was tore it could be both or just the ACL, either way with his age and already lack of mobility will he be able to come back to the lvl he was last season? I don't think he will... Palmer was much younger and Mcflabb can't stand him but he was much more of an athelete than Brady IMO...

I hate the Patriots, and Tom Baby was the actor of the NFL, but it sucks to see a player go down like that!

I hate the Pats more than anybody, but I never want to see a player get hurt. Regardless of your personal opinion, Brady is a hell of a QB and will be in Canton when he retires.

If he did tear both the MCL and ACL, that is 1-2 year injury. I am just glad that Romo was not seriously hurt on that cheap shot yesterday.

With one ENORMOUS difference, or should I say 3.

Bledsoe never won a Superbowl, only got to one and lost. Brady has taken them to 4 and won 3 of them. Not nearly the same situation so, no, I doubt that Cassell can take the job from Brady for good.

He is a stay in the pocket QB and has a strong mind. I think he'll come back from this fine as long as his knee comes back in tact.

We'll see how good a coach Belichek is now. Brady made him look a lot better than I think he is.

Monkeys would fly out of my butt before that happened.

Unfortunate for him. But all this talk about it on ESPN is annoying. You would think he just died they way they are talking about it.

You wouldn't see anybody else get all this attention but Brady, Favre and Peyton Manning.

Heres why - whoever wins the whole thing this year (and you know it will be us) - :laugh2: - will have the media and so-called experts saying about how we will never know how they would have done if the Pats had a fit Brady and blah. blah blah etc, etc.....

Injuries happen and if they have no depth there then thats there lookout.

Roll on week 2 and see what that brings

Why? Because they were the defending champs or something?

I don't want to even think this way, or we may hear a story about Pacman getting jumped and beat up by a pole dancer due to holy retribution.

I've never been a Brady fan, but feel bad for any guy who tears his ACL or any other excruciating injury... been there, and it's too painful to gloat over even when it's someone I don't like.

You guys are taking a light-hearted joke way too literal...
