I laughed at the previous thread about it along with everyone else but dude wore a Peyton Manning jersey to a function because he "wanted to feel like a winner".

So either he is trying to do some crazy psychological trick that will somehow inspire his team to a turn around or he straight up wants off the team.

It'd be one thing to wear a Brady jersey but a team in the division and then crack jokes about it? Nevermind that his current to QB's stink, so it's a direct insult to them but to demean his entire team like that by wearing the jersey of a division rival? Wow.

Imagine we're 0-5 and Wade wears an Eli jersey to a public function and then yucked it up about it? He might get shot on the spot!

really? I didn't like him before this, now I do. well sort of anyways.

Personally I think he's just trying to give his team a shock to the system they are and were too high on themselves after last year and thought they could just mail it in this year and it's showing. At least thats my opinion anyways

yea, there's ways to do that and i don't discredit the idea, but the execution. if i were a titan, not only did i get my hi-do-ho handed to me over the weekend, but my coach just bailed for another player/team to feel good about.

he just more or less said he's got no confidence in the team, so the team won't have any in him.

he's gone if it gets so far out of hand that things even get worse for the titans.

True but he also took the easy go to guy/team to wear out aside from people that just hate him for whatever reason Peyton is the easy route to go for a name to pull out when you want to make a point about playing well and winning it's the same one every media person uses.

Now if he'd gone out of his way to pick someone mediocre that hasn't made a reputation for being a consistant winner and playing to the best of their ability I would think it was a true shot at the team, but it was Peyton jersey.

and yes if they continue to lose he probably is done with the titans that I truely don't doubt

It is not that complex. He wore the Peyton jersey because Tony Dungy was there. Pretty simple connection.

It's funny watching people try to spin this into some sort of positive. All this stupid act does is hurt. It hurts his QBs, it hurts his image, it hurts the fan base.

There was nothing good about going to a public function and pulling this stunt.

Pure stupidity.

He is an unhappy man. He proved that in pre-season with the scoreboard stunt. (Oh, hitting the scoreboard was clearly done on purpose. The punt would have gone 25 yards the screen wasn't up there.)

Now, he seems to want out of his current situation. That much is clear.

He's over rated as a coach anyway, long tenure or not.

Ya me too. I was in Fisher's camp, even though this year which has obviously been a tough time. But this stunt made me lose a lot of respect for him.

Wow, this reminds me of the Jim Mora "I would quit the Falcons tommorow" statement on the radio.

An NFL head coach does not go to any event wearing the uniform of their hated division rival and says "I just wanted to feel like a winner".

Holy cow, imagine if Wade went to some event and was wearing an Elie Manning jersey and said he just wanted to feel like a winner for one night. Wade would be shot on the spot and hunged from the scoreboard like a freaking scarecrow.

Fisher either has just lost it and snapped from losing game after game after game or he is trying to get himself fired. Either way, I dont see him coaching in Tennessee next year.

Well, at least we overreact to unimportant things other teams' coaches do, too.
