Some guy named Eric Edholm previews the 2014 NFL Draft, for Yahoo Sports, and ranks the team 1-32, most needing a quarterback.

Surprise, surprise, look at who is number 11?

So Yahoo thinks there are 21 teams with better quarterbacks than Romo? It's pretty amazing who they have rated as better than Romo.

Let's start with number 12. That would be the Tennessee Titans and Jake Locker, with his 8 TD' and a gaudy 208 yards a game passing. He's pretty much done nothing but he's a keeper.

Next up at number 13 is Terrelle Pryor. I know he's young, but he shown little ability other than he runs a lot. He had 5 TD's and 7 interceptions. Another head shaker.

Number 23 makes no sense what so ever? The Buffalo are listed as being 12 spots below the Cowboys in needing a quarterback? Worse, they don't even have a quarterback listed for the Bills. I guess to Yahoo, no QB is lots better than Romo?

Number 24 is equally amazing. Geno Smith of the New York Jets has 8 TD's and 13 picks and yet he is 13 spots below Romo?

My favorite is number 31. The Washington Commanders are only behind Indy and Andrew Luck as needing a quarterback? It's just another case of everyone being in denial about RGIII. He has a 79 QB rating with 9 TD and 8 picks. Since his injury he has been running less and sucking more as a passer.

Showing their bias has no boundaries, they have St Louis as number 7 in needing a QB. They site his injury as concerns, while ignoring the chosen one the Washington. Sam before his injury had 14 TD'
s and only 4 interceptions.

Then again it's Yahoo, and I used to do some fan posts for them, proving they don't have the highest of standards.

That is insane. Though, some Dallas fans (foolishly) seem to agree at times. When it comes to NFL QBs I always ascribe to the 'careful what you wish for' line of thinking.

Was that Romo shameful picture posted with the article? (i must know)

Man why so defensive? Ya didn't even read the article it states the likelihood of teams drafting a QB not a ranking of whose better geez.... I might not agree with the complete ranking but I do think there is a high chance the Cowboys will use a pick on a QB in the next draft.

Depends how the season shakes out and what prospects the team is high on. But I would say its a strong possibility and if Johnny Football comes out we know JJ is in love with this kid so who knows.

The Cowboys arent going to use a 1st or 2nd on a QB just one year after re-signing Romo, but after the 2nd I think there is a good possibility.

Just depends on who is there and if JJ is looking past 2 years and if his guy who can put butts in the seat is there or close to where we would pick.

I don't think we need to worry about the next QB for at least a couple of years. Romo is one of maybe a dozen exceptional QBs in this league. He makes mistakes, but he puts up numbers at the end of the day that are good enough to get it done at least in theory. We have a bus driver backup in Orton which is decent insurance. I've been pulling for Tanney to develop enough to take over as backup for a few years and learn under Romo, and then become starter. Even in that perfect scenario I would try to get a good prospect in the later rounds if one falls that fare in a couple of years, but our drafts need to be all trenches for the next couple of years.

Is time to get a blue chip prospect. If the guy is there or in reach you have to make the call and let him sit for a couple of years. We don't know if Romo's skills on the long ball or medium passes are gonna stay where they are. We've already seen some struggles with that and his ability to really move like we've seen in the past. I would prefer to not get caught with our pants down like we did with Troy. Lets do what GB did and get a solid prospect.

The article is about the likelihood of teams drafting a qb. The window for our qb is starting to close. He's gettin older.

Somehow you twisted it around and thought the article was a ranking of qb's 1-32.

this falls under the category of "any publicity is good publicity"...this dweeb is trying to get hits on something that shouldn't even be close to a discussion half-way into the current season...

meh, they way I read the article seemed to be focused more on Dallas' future at QB not necessarily ranking current NFL QBs.. I do disagree that Romo won't need a replacement anytime soon (barring some freak injury, God help us) but the thought of erring on the very cautious side and beginning to groom someone now under Romo isn't outrageous
