For all of you guys that kept saying after every loss, "It's only one game.".

Was last nights game just "another game"?

If we lose the next 4 or 3 of the next 4 games, will you continue to say that?

EVERY GAME IS IMPORTANT IN THE NFL.

I now have VERY serious doubts about our team due to the type of offensive output that we have had for about the last month.

Our defense can and has kept us in every game, but the offense hasn't done their job.

Blame it on injuries? Other teams have had injuries, yet keep plugging along. Could it be that they have coaches that actually teach the positions?

Yes, the offense needs a serious overhaul and NO, it wasn't just another game.

Every time we lose, its just one game. You cant lose 2 or 3 games in one game you know. So probably. The only reason loses matter is if you have playoff aspirations. We really should not have had much aspirations, remember this was a rebuilding year. The fact we are where we are is kinda cool, certainly better then we have been over the last 5 years-10 years? Its been a while. Looking forward to this offseason and then Next year will be the year we should have real aspirations. Till then, just enjoying the rise up to the top. Stalled though we are this year, we are higher then we have been in a long long time. We will get there and soon, but this aint our year.

My first bit of advice would be to chill until a few days after the game. Once the emotion subsides, THEN start waxing philosophical.

My second is that yes, that was "just another game." If you wanted a tip-off as to how the offense is performing, don't take the evidence from just one game or even a run of games... the sample size is just too small. This team (on both offense and defense) has morphed once... they have given us no reason to believe they won't/can't do it again.

Of course every game in the NFL matters. That's why, when you're 7-5, you actually have the luxury of caring about what happens next week.

Take a breather and remember that the team you love and faithfully watch is in the thick of the playoff race and vastly, vastly improved from last season. You've got to walk before you run.

Honestly, that "rebuilding" has been going on since 1995. That is all you ever hear from people trying to make excuses for this team. BP actually thought that this team could do good things.

Don't kid yourself....we aren't "rebuilding". That term is just an excuse.

Our offense has been like this for awhile now.

I have absolutely NO confidence in our offense. It has slowly been working to this point for quite awhile. It's almost like their hands are tied behind their backs for some reason.

I'm not being emotional about it.....the emotion has subsided and this is just the way it is....come wednesday, we will have people talking on here about how good we are going to be this weekend. Those may be the people you may be talking to. I'm a realist and see too many things holding this offense back.

My point was that we've seen so many looks from the offense over the course of this season that I don't understand why them snapping back into place would be so hard to fathom.

I understand your point overall but how can you not use the word rebuilding when about 40 of the 50 guys that were on the team 4 years ago are now selling cars or insurance or some such.

Course theres a few that are on the team now that should prolly be doin that too. ;)

Yes, it was only one game but it sure HURTS just like the other 4 did.....and every loss to our Cowboys keep me up that 1st night!

I still believe in this team......it is special....and will hopefully make the playoffs so our young rookies can experience the playoff atmosphere.

On the nosey.

Rebuilding would be an appropriate term if the team was young. On defense it is...

On offense, we're ancient. The only positions that are solid are RB, TE.

This team is being built by "I'm too old to lose" Parcells to win today.

Career record as Cowboy coach, 23-22. "You are what your record says you are"

how about...because the OL play isn't going to improve and without that we aren't going to have an offense that can score points (except on gifts by the defense). Your optimism at this point is what I find hard to fathom. I'm not throwing rocks, but things look bleak to me today.

Well we've lost too many "it's only one game" games, and it's to the point now that we're tied with three teams for the final playoff spot. What do you think this teams chances are if we have to go back to NY or go into Chicago in January IF we even make the play-offs?

In a sense. But the correct rebuilding started this year. Last 2 years we spun our wheels, Parcells figured it out and scrapped those blueprints and started fresh.

make no mistake this is year 1 of the rebuilding process. All those other rebuilding under Jerry dont count. Parcells was fooled by Quincy and that 2003 Defense into thinking hes starting on the 4th floor instead of the basement. Now he knows the real deal and has really begun building.

LOL....ok...NOW we are REALLY rebuilding....

What will the excuse be with a 9-7 record next year should that be the case? What if that is followed up by an 8-8 record?

Rebuilding....teams don't do that like fans like to believe.

Well then shame on Parcells.

He isn't being paid $5 million a year to be "fooled"

yeah, that's what kills me when threads were started after the Wash/Seattle game, "relax it's only 1 game. If we dont make the playoffs would they feel the same way. I honestly didn't see them winning this game, and I felt this was our playoff game. Now I dont count us out,I just feel it's a tough task to keep this team up in spirits, with these close game losses.
