ITS: Should the Cowboys Chase After DT Ndamukong Suh?

The man named Suh is a mercenary now. The Cowboys won’t pay him. Suh is waiting for Tampa or some team to offer him 6 million. I still remember the playoff game against Detroit in 2014 when he whipped Martin and Frederick’s butts. Then against the Rams he detroyed Martin again. We should have signed him two seasons ago when Suh hinted about coming here on social media.

I would like the signing, but I think the front office is gun shy after what happened with Poe a few years ago.

Adding Suh would finally give the club a true run-stopper that they have lacked for a few seasons. Additionally, he brings a Super Bowl-winning mentality and toughness that the Cowboys desperately need."

If Ndamukong Suh is willing to accept a 1-2 year veteran-cheap, team-friendly deal, should the Cowboys chase after and sign him?

I mentioned this in another thread. But I think the Cowboys are saving cap space to roll over to next season because they won't be restructuring Dak. I'm not saying this because I think they are getting rid of him. I just think they have the opportunity to not push another 30M forward, and they're taking it. There won't be any huge cap spikes next year. Nothing that won't be offset. So not restructuring Dak is the only thing I can think of.

This is both good and bad if it happens.

They could. But I don't think he can be replaced for another 3 years. To do so would be very painful to say the least.

It seems like the purposely avoid drafting DTs and safeties high in the draft. And we need a playmaker at both positions.
We get them at running back (Zeke, Murray), receiver (Dez, Coop, Lamb, T.O. - free agencies), offensive line, linebacker and defensive ends. But we treat safety and DT like Kryptonite.
Shrug.
