...But it's hard to not just think of how good this team can be next year.

We are probably going to get Pac Man, and you'd think PacMan understands he cannot mess up again. Jerry says he fully believes in giving people a 2nd chance, because thats when they work the hardest. PacMan will immediately give us help at corner and returner, two positions we desperately need.

With our first pick, I still hope we draft corner, as you can never have too many. The league is a passing league, not to mention we will score alot of points. Teams are going to be passing on us quite a bit. Get 4 quality corners and a good pass rush, and this team is looking really scary on defense. Like top 3 good.

2nd pick I'd like to either trade for Roy Williams, or pick up DeSean Jackson if he's on the board. We can pick up a change of pace back later on in the draft. MBIII is our guy, now we need to find someone to spell him, not the other way around.

With Zach Thomas replacing Akin, I think that is going to really help our interior defense. Akin was simply invisible last year. He never really made any plays. I completely agree with the "No pro bowler at every position" statement, but this guy can be upgraded, plain and simple.

I would also like to address depth at safety, tackle, and a nose tackle. I would like Ratliff to be moved to DE next year, let Spears walk, and rotate Tank and a NT next year.

The direction this team is headed is nothing but uphill to a ring. This team may not top 13-3, but with the talent this team has, we will be close, and competing for a ring.

Man I hate long offseasons.

I think we're going to find out a lot about this team this offseason. We have the potential to become a powerhouse on paper with the possible additions of 2Pacman, Thomas, and two first rounders. If our guys can stay out of trouble this offseason we might just gel. Last years' team wasn't accustomed to one another, and with the exception of Thomas, it's likely this year's starters will be the very same players that lined up last year...a very rare occurrence in today's NFL. I think Thomas' addition may prove to be an outstanding one, immediately boosting the play of a seemingly uninspired but talented defense. I think we're going to see a boost in special teams, despite the loss of Killer, through the continued addition of quality depth. I think our secondary stands to continue its improvement from 2006. I worry about the following year, however, as we are perilously close to becoming impossibly thin at WR. We could get lucky in this years' draft with a pick or trade for a WR, or possibly go after a big time FA next offseason, but as of right now it is an issue that needs to be addressed before 2009.

...but like I said, it all looks good in theory...

They need to figure out what it will take to get them over that post Thanksgiving slide. That is the most critical need on this team. More than any other position. I think that is on the players to come together and find a way to do it.

Actually the off-season is the really fun time for me. The games kill me. I live and die on every play.

This is exciting, will all the "what if" scenarios for the draft, FAs and possible trade acquisitions.

But this off-season is really killing me for some reason.

I'm just going stir crazy.

Maybe it's because there just hasn't been much news over the past few weeks regarding the Cowboys, other than the PacMan rumors.

Maybe the Draft countdown timer would help.

Seeing that tick down always soothes me.

What I take comfort in is that as of today we are only 1 month away from the Draft.

And the timer would help!

It's killing me because of how our 07 season was.

Too long to wait to see this team play again. We know what they're capable of, they just need to achieve it.
