Dear jerry:

I know you want to showcase your draft pick zeke and prove how great of a GM you are, but just play Morris more and also show how great you are at free agency.

Spin it that way in your mind and left morris play.

It's Thursday on Skins week and I feel very apathetic towards this.

I'm sure I'll get excited Sunday ... But man.

It seems we're underestimating them a bit. We don't have the steeler defense to work with so they will have some success in the passing game. Desean Jackson is a cowboy killer everytime he plays us and we're rolling in there with a hobbled OScan as our best defense. It just might be a replay of the giants game where we have to play keep-away with our running game only this time we HAVE to convert in the redzone. The giants scored fast on us I think the skins could be faster.

OK, let's get the ball rolling.

2. Second the Deadskins were run over by the steelers.
3. Third the Steeler QB shredded the Deadskin secondary.
4. Let's assume that the Cowboys learned something about their self's and week one faults and can now run and throw against the Deadskins this week.

PS
After watching the Deadskins game, I have us at 55% chance of winning this game. Depends on the defense.:omg:
What do you mean? The season is over! The ceiling is falling, we might as well pack it up and get a high draft pick next year. Dak is a bust, Byron is a bust, Zeke should be benched and Dez should be traded for whatever we can get.

So your team is 2-0, and you can pencil them in for the playoffs. So your team is 0-2, and you can be pretty much be assured they won’t be in the playoffs. Does two games really make that much of a difference? Does an 0-2 start doom your team with 14 games remaining to rebound? The odds say yes. So does our OddsShark NFL Database.

Since 2007, 66 teams have started 0-2. Only five of them turned it around to make the playoffs and one (the 2008 San Diego Chargers) made it with an 8-8 record. The Indianapolis Colts from last season, the 2013 Carolina Panthers, the 2008 Minnesota Vikings, and the 2007 New York Giants are the only others.

I'm usually excited for football season but I'm having a hard time getting up for this year. I work a 12 hour grave shift this weekend and I don't think I'll even wake up for the game. I usually find myself saying "I woke up for this?".....

When your team is 4-13 in the last two seasons and hasn't won in forever, that'll do it. I feel your pain

What I'm most looking forward to is watching Morris run against his former team and listening to Sk*ns fans hate it but still fall all over each other explaining that they still love him. Maybe we'll get lucky and some fans will splinter off and turn on him and we can watch them struggle with the cognitive dissonance that will create in their echo chamber of a fan base. Putting them at 0-2 and back in their basement after two weeks would be fun, too.

Of course, if we don't win, that's another matter entirely. But that's ok, because we're going to win this game. I can feel it. :)

One thing I noticed about the Steelers-Skins game is that the Steelers quarterback took what the defense gave them, but in a smart way.

When Ben and Brown burn the Skins on 4th and 1, Big Ben lays a perfect pass deep for Brown behind the defender (who was not Norman). DeAngelo Hall was out of position.

The next 4th and 1, Hall is back deep to defend the deep pass and Brown runs a crossing route because the middle is wide open. Another completion and long YAC.

I don't know if Dak trusts himself to make that read and that throw, and I don't know if Garrett trusts Dak enough to make that throw.

I do, however, think Ezekiel Elliott will get more than 100 yards. Something tells me he's going to have a big game.

Oh, and I hope we wear the blue jerseys. :)

How many carries does Morris get?

20? This is a week where I'd aim to give Zeke and Morris ~35 or so carries between them if I could. And I'd lean heavier on Morris just this week to make a point. If we're successful with it, that's the kind of thing that can bring the team together...working to help a good guy get a bit of revenge against an old team that happens to be a hated rival. A couple big downfield plays for Dak and we might even get an early season spark out of it.

I heard today that teams that start off 0-2 have a 12% chance of making the playoffs. Yikes.

I hope we come up with a game-plan to play against their weaknesses and not the standard vanilla one. If something isn't working, alter it and if something is working, exploit it!

I fully expect the play not to lose plan and it will come down to the last drive again :(

I wouldn't expect much different. We've been vanilla since Garrett took over.

The biggest issue for you guys starting 0-2 IF you do lose to the Commanders is, it would make you 0-2 in the conference and the division. It may be too early to talk playoffs but it is never too early to focus on tiebreakers.

NFL Week 2 Cheat Sheet: Cowboys will fall to 0-2 after Commanders showdown

Sunday: Cowboys at Commanders
I’m not jumping off the Kirk Cousins Train just yet. I predicted he’d lead the league in passing this season and after a sub-par Week 1, the Twitter Mob got me good. I believe he gets things right this weekend. Short week for the Skins, but I’m not sure I see Dallas – with a rookie quarterback – going on the road and beating the defending division champions in their building. The pick: Commanders 28, Cowboys 20
