It's time for Ware to pass the torch

To Sean Lee as the face of this defense. I know this will be impossible with the rate at which Ware sacks QBs, so he will always be at the forefront. However, Lee seems to have that IT factor in him that, honestly if he were to be more vocal, I believe the defense would react to him in a Tebow manner. I love DWare but I have always wished he had a little JHarrison in him when he tackles. It drives me crazy to see him slide down the back of QBs and players when tackling from behind, instead of driving his shoulder through their spine. Does it far too often for my liking and I think if were going to be a fierce intimidating team, the face has to be someone with a killer instinct like Lee. Not to mention a player that makes plays in the clutch which I also think DWare does not do often enough.

We have struggled to find an intimadator on defense to rally since RWilliams got prison sexed by the Chris Brown stiff arm and then Brandon Jacobs. Ratliff has that demeanor, but he's also been apart of this defensive letdown crew for too long, so he can't run in this election. Lee is a mad man and plays like it, not to mention his ability to just come up with the ball. Its time for Lee to start stepping on some toes in a respectful manner and take over this defense. Start by taking over the pregame rallies ala Brooking (no one is buying that old fire) and then the huddle. Players rally around the Sean Lee's of the world, because they just MAKE PLAYS!!!! Sorry Ware but its time boss!

I agree Ware still does for now. People are getting way to hung up on his sack total though. The guy has not been getting consistent pressure on QBs most of the season.

I will have to disagree. Lee is good but about two to three levels below Ware. D Ware is the best LB in the league right now hands down. Lee has some time to go to be on Ware's level.
