Time to grade our players for their 2005 performance... Copy and paste your grades and justifications below!!

Here are mine:

Player:
Grade:
Justification:

Newman
A+
The most underrated Cover Corner in football. Should be in pro bowl!

T.Glenn
A
Stayed Healthy and had a career season. Proved he's still a Legit #1 WR

Bledsoe
A-
It was his third best season of career for QB rating. Of the Cowboys 9 wins, Bledsoe drove the team back to win in the final minutes in FIVE of those games to now surpass Brett Favre as having the most career come back wins of any active QB in the NFL. SOLID season despite poor protection over the last 8 games and very little running game to help.

Keyshawn:
B-
Still cannot get open downfield and has very little speed. Did make some clutch catches to earn a B-

Witten
B
Should be an A player but had to stay in and help block way too much because of poor O-line play. Also had several uncharacteristic drops on passes thrown right to his numbers.

Roy
B
A+ player brought his B game

Ware
B
Vanilla Defense. Next year A+++ Watch out!

James
B
Became a player. Will get even better!

A. Glenn
B+
Can you say WARRIOR. Love this guy!- Despite the first Commanders game, he delivered even while playing hurt!

Canty
B-
What a STEAL. Played better than Spears

Allen
C+
Pro Bowl but was only a little above average

Spears
C+
Expected more but solid rookie season. Next year!

Glover
C+
A B+ player who was played less by design

Ellis
C+
A B+ player who was played less by design

Julius
C
An A player who is fixing to be labeled injury prone. MUST have a FULL season in 2006

Al Johnson
C
Got bullied but gave up 0 sacks. Was a B+ player but Took a step back in 2005. I will not be unhappy to see him replaced with a FA center.

Ferguson
C
Did not stuff the middle enough. Needs to pick it up!

Fujita
C-
Did well for coming in midseason. What can he do with a full off season?

Shanle
C-
Admirable job but position needs to be upgraded-Ahmad Brooks anybody

Fowler
C-
A+ special teamer.

Rivera
D+
FA BUST. Maybe due to his bad back?

Burnett
D
Injury prone? Started playing a little at the end. Maybe be joining Juluis if he cannot have a healthy 2006. MUST contribute!

Polite
D-
Not THE guy

Petitti
D-
Only passed because he's a rookie-Agreed-MUST sit in 2006 as the backup

K. Davis
D-
Good run support. AWFUL pass coverage

Tucker
F
Not worthy to wear the star

A.Henry
I (incomplete)
A+ until he decided he wanted a mid-season vacation

Flozell
I (incomplete)
Who would have thought Flozell was the key to success in Dallas? He proved his value by NOT playing...Need him back 100% in 2006

Crayton
D-
Started getting the hang of it before injury then forgot again

Nguyen
I (incomplete)
Good luck in the future Dat!

Agree very much with this assessment! A few changes though:

I give a B+ to Terry because I still don’t think DBs have nightmares over any of our WRs and he did disappear in a few games.

Bledsoe - B+ - Drew absolutely made his share of bad decisions especially holding on to the ball this year and I’m not sure it was always the WRs that couldn’t get open. I guess I’m holding out hope that he can play at an even higher level – that we haven’t seen his “A” level yet after 1 year in this offense.

C+ for Keyshawn. The "+" is only for the little things he does that go unnoticed. As far as running and getting open, he's a C.

Player:
Grade:
Justification:

Newman
A+
He was robbed.

T.Glenn
A
Was a true threat all year long, missed a couple of key 1st down catches in last few games, but stayed healthy and was solid all year long.

Bledsoe
B-
A quarterback is supposed to will his team to a win when all else fails, and he didn't do that. His passes suffered at times in games and he was missing targets, skipping the ball to receivers, holding on to the ball way to long, had trouble finding 2nd and 3rd receivers and out of the backfield options. On the other hand, he was very very solid all year long, and was better "technically" the best thing we've had around here since the mid-nineties Aikman

Keyshawn:
B+
His game is the game that any decent receiver can bring. I don't think it's all that IMO. I need big big plays, and not just the occasional first down. He made costly fumbles in crutial games, but other than that, when I saw him take on a DE and wiped him out, yet our RT couldn't do it, that amazed me.

Witten
B
His blocking sucks at best. For a guy that's this good at receiving, he really needs to get some heart and b*lls when it's time to help in the blocking department. He proved once again that he's a really good receiver.

Roy
B
I still don't think they used him properly this year, he played way more deep in the secondary than he should have. Also, instead of going thru the offender, he would lounge at their feet. But he was pretty solid this year, and still better than anyone on the defense.

Ware
B+
He was running round like a chicken without a head earlier on, but came on strong.

James
B+
Went from a D player to a B+ player almost over night.

A. Glenn
B+
Thank God for this guy.

Canty
B-
He had flashes of greatness.

Allen
B-
As big and as slow as he is, he was still the reason we had any kind of success on offense. If he can lose some freakin weight, he could dominate atleast a couple more years IMO.

Spears
B
He was solid this year for a rookie as well. He was pushed around a little more than I wanted, but next year should be solid for him.

Glover
C
This defense is not for him, and he was pushed all over the line.

Ellis
B
I really don't think he's good for this defense. Having said that, he still managed to get sacks and didn't complain and played his rear end off, and we need more of him on this team.

Julius
C
He showed what he could be, but he's like a girl that dresses sexy and that's all over you on your date, but rarely gives it up (very disappointing)

Al Johnson
D
He must be replaced period.

Ferguson
D
Very disappointed in his performance. We need a big kid who's angry.

Fujita
C-
Over achieved and solid, but has slow feet for this position in a starting capacity.

Shanle
C
Played his heart out, but quite frankly doesn't have the bulk or talent for this position.

Fowler
B
He should be the back up ILB next year, he showed me something in that last game.

Rivera
D-
I hope hope he's still hurting, and that's whe he was lathargic.

Burnett
(incomplete)
It's hard to get a read on a player that hardly plays.

Polite
D
Not THE guy (I agree totally)

Petitti
F
SUCKS!

K. Davis
C
He'll be a really solid backup SS, other than that........

Tucker
D
His MO is supposed to be a guard. I don't know why they played a guard at Tackle.

A.Henry
I (incomplete)
I agree with that grade too. I thought he was slow against fast fast receivers, but anything within 15 yards, he was dominant. Parcells messed up by playing him injured. (once again)

Flozell
I (incomplete)
Before he was injured, he was solid. (not great though) He was still suffering with faster DE's sometimes, let's be real about it.

Crayton
B
A pleasent surprise before his injury. However, I don't ever want to see him returning punts again.

Nguyen
I (incomplete)
Good luck in the future Dat! I agree with this

Ellis did everything asked of him. He also led the team in sacks playing about 1/3 of the time he did last season. I think he deserves more than a C+. I think you are closer with your maybe B+ grade for him. .

Player:
Grade:
Justification:

Newman
A+
agree, he was huge this year, and without Henry he was still shutting ppl down most of the time.

T.Glenn
A
Finally was able to play a full season and he was our best receiver, and he had a lot of big plays including the Panther game.

Bledsoe
A-
Bledsoe was a great fa signing. I really have no idea who would qb for us if not for him. But he needs a great ol, and our ol this year was downright just bad. Should have been a probowler but his rating and production fell off once flozell and the ol fell apart.

Keyshawn:
B-
Still cannot get open downfield and has very little speed. Did make some clutch catches to earn a B-

agree, he is still a reliable guy, but doesnt make many big plays.
Witten
B
Should be an A player but had to stay in and help block way too much because of poor O-line play. Also had several uncharacteristic drops on passes thrown right to his numbers.
agree, witten would be our #1 receiver, if not for all the blocking he had to do this year, next year will be different.

Roy
B
A+ player brought his B game

Ware
B
Vanilla Defense. Next year A+++ Watch out!

James

Julius
B
very nervous bout this guy. played phenomenal when he came back from injuries, but injured way too much. could be a bust or future superstar.

Al Johnson
C-
I am close to giving al a D, but if he did give up zero sacks, that is not so bad. although he may have not given up sacks, he did get pushed back a lot, and that is not a good thing for Bledsoe who cannot move.

Ferguson
C
Did not stuff the middle enough. Needs to pick it up!

Fujita
C-
Did well for coming in midseason. What can he do with a full off season?

Shanle
D-
Filled in well for Dat, but not strong enough. solid coverage skills, but i dont see any future on the team for him.

Fowler
C-
A+ special teamer. I think he has a future though, looked much better than Shanle.

Rivera
D+
FA BUST. we should have taken his offer when he said he'd give back the bonus, his back is probably done, unless he can heal to full in the offseason i really do not want him back as the starter.

Burnett
D
Disappointed in Burnett's season I t hought he would start all year, but injuries stopped that. Could be a B next year.

Polite
F
Worthless lump of nothing imo. can't leadblock well and isnt a good receiver.

Petitti
D-
Only passed because he's a rookie-Agreed-MUST sit in 2006 as the backup. He is a good pick relative to his rd, but he is not a starter and no way should he have been starting this year, his body and mind were just not ready.

K. Davis
F-
Good run support. AWFUL pass coverage. besides this guy's big hits, he did nothing. had one int, but gave up a billion yards in the processs.

Tucker
F
Not worthy to wear the star

A.Henry
B-
Henry was looking like a sure probowler until his injury. then I think he was forced to come back one week early, and reaggravated it. will have to see what happens next year.
Flozell
I (incomplete)
Who would have thought Flozell was the key to success in Dallas? He proved his value by NOT playing...Need him back 100% in 2006

Crayton
C-
Looked great, but did nothing after his injury.

Nguyen
I (incomplete)
I really hope Dat is on the sidelines with the team or is a coach of some sort. the epitome of a great guy with a great story.

That is a fair argument.
