I don't think you spend a top 10 pick on a right tackle. I also think that you don't spend an entire off-season/ training camp transitioning Smith to play left tackle only to put him back on the right side after only 3 games.

Moving Free back is NOT the solution. He was a good RT, given a shot at LT and is now back at RT and sucking. Moving him to LT doesn't magically mean he's going to not suck. In fact, Romo would likely get absolutely killed with Free at LT.

Plus, we want Tyron improving at the position and growing. LT are paid the big bucks for a reason.

I have no problem with spending a top 10 pick on a RT if he ends up being one of the best RTs in the game, but that point is moot since Smith is a LT now.

I agree that you don't just give up on the move to left tackle after just 3 games or even half a season especially when Smith has the potential to be a great LT for years to come. You stick with it the whole year.

He was ~61/67 on PFFs rankings of T through last game. Guess we'll see how he graded this week.

Tyron has been our best lineman by far which isn't saying much since he has been average so far. He is the least of our problems on the O-line. Both of the Guards and Free need to be replaced. We should have kept Kosier and Holand. I also say we need to let Parnell start over Free. I'm fine with Cook so far. He has not been that bad. Tyron is doing fine.
