It's time to tell the truth about Miles and Dez

Are they really that good like most on here keep saying they are. 17 yards from your starting WE. and dropping pass like he did. and Miles makes 3 or 4, catches a game. look at the numbers the Giants WR's put up today. has Dez ever even come close to those numbers against anyone? these guys are not getting it done against teams that have a good defense.

Dez has been disappointing to say the least. Phenomenal athletic ability, but you're right, we rarely see it. What a waste.

I was saying in the game chat that either our WRs are not getting separation or Romo is struggling to make the right read inside the pocket at times. Im not saying either is the case but a lot of Romo's big plays do come when he is moving around improvising. Plus, Giant defenders eluded to that in the off season when they talked about keeping in the pocket and he is not nearly as effective. Ohara said the same thing last week prior to the Giants game on the NFLN. Not sure if I buy into it.

Maybe some one with the All-22 access can take a look and let us know did Romo some open WRs or did Seattle just lock our guys down.

Exactly. Move Dez around. Send him in motion. Garrett doesn't put his top playmakers on the outside in positions to get off double teams and schemes against them.

I am starting to wonder the same thing. You see other teams that have one WR and their still able to create some schemes to get some favorable match ups for them. Why cant we do the same for Miles and Dez? Maybe we are but they are able to win the match up.

Seems more likely that we have him out wide and teams are dropping a safety over the top of him saying beat us else where. Like others said we gotta move these guys around.

It starts and stops with the OLine. While the Romo spin moves and improvs are fun to watch, you want him sitting back in the pocket like Brady, where he can pick apart the secondary. And I think that's what our playcalling/offensive system is based on...unfortunately, when the OLine can't give Romo all day, that sandlot football style that worked vs. NY won't cut it vs. a team with a good secondary like today.

I think there's something to this. We make far too many plays when the plays have broken down. I wonder how much success we have at executing the plays as they're drawn up?

They both flash brilliance and they both disappear for long stretches far to often in football games.

The one thing that really really worries me about Dez is this -- he very rarely ever makes any separation. 95% of the time I see corners all over him. He has great hands (and hand-eye coordination) and he makes a lot of grabs anyway, but there is a part of me that worries that his functional game speed isn't what I thought it was and he'll be forever limited by his inability to separate from defenders.

Tell me I am crazy. I want to be.

When I see guys like Brian Hartline and other 5-10 scrubs every week somehow manage 100 yards receiving and with Dez you have to go back to his rookie season for his one and only 100 yard game it makes me wonder...

Romo looked a bit off today. The WR's were out of sync.

I will wait until there are more results before getting on them too harshly.
