That we have the most dumb fanbase in the NFL. On the radio after the game, all I heard were callers who were moaning about how we had failed, we will lose our first playoff game, and Wade should be fired, blah blah blah. Even here on this board, the majority of comments are to the tune of "whoa is us". This place has been littered with self-pity and loathing for the last few weeks, but it reached a new level yesterday. All this over a game that didnt matter. At all. Washington had everything to play for, we had nothing to play for. Had we won that game, it would have been an indictment on how poor Washington is, not how good we are. I have been nothing short of ashamed of this fanbase the last 24 hours or so.
I cannot remember a 13-3 team heading into the postseason who's fans were acting like we just experianced the end of a 4-12 year. In today's NFL, 13-3 is re,markable. You don't win 13 games in the age of free agency and the cap without being very, very good. Yes, we have struggled the last few weeks, and yes, there should be a slight concern about our injuries, but you know what? Tampa Bay lost 3 of their last 4, all to losing teams. Green Bay got dump trucked by a .500 team in a game they REALLY needed to win. Seattle is maybe the most inconsistant playoff team this season, and they have looked pitiful at times. New York lost to us, twice, by double digits, and lost just about every big game they played.
Us? We lost a meaningless game to a team playing their biggest regular season game in God knows how long without 3 pro bowlers and resting our starters for almost an entire half. We were 5-2 against playoff teams this year, and beat another team (Minnesota) who almost made it. We beat New York in a game that decided the division. We beat Green bay in a game that decided the conference. We won several HUGE games this year. Yet here we are, whining about our #1 seed and easiest route to the SB in the conference.
