I've enjoyed this offseason so far. Last year was a terrifyingly drama filled offseason between the Coop move and the speculation involving McCarthy getting the sack, despite taking us from 6-10 to 12-5. Last offseason was just, well, negative. Then, the team surprised many people by not only matching that record, but winning a playoff game.

Now, we come to this offseason. I've enjoyed the moves we have made. I like that there has been much more quiet this offseason in terms of drama. I think we have a nice team building. I like that we are shifting to a WCO identity. I'm looking forward to the draft, and I think this will be a fun season for us. Go Cowboys!

I agree it’s more drama-free. In that regard it has been better this time around. I think they stand around the same level as last season but they had to make moves in free agency to prevent a step back so I commend the moves thus far. I see a real need for more substantial moves in the defensive and offensive fronts. I expect our o line depth to be challenged, our physicality in the defensive front to be an issue, and when (not if) Parsons is not rushing the passer, what is behind him to replace the production.

I feel they have to have a great draft and they can.

Definitely, and the other thing is, other than maybe a few positions, the FO isn't really forced to pick any particular player. Whoever the best player is, that's the player the FO is in a position to get. I think if we can get the positions that I mentioned, I think this team can take the next step.

Yeah just realized I literally cited the very same positions you had first suggested. My bad. Shows we’re sharing a brain though.

Two weeks from now this place will be arguing over what the Cowboys did in the first round, so enjoy the tranquility while you can. :muttley:

It has been a good off-season.
It started with some of the coaching changes, and announcing some differences in the playbook.
Also started out well when Quinn announced he was staying.

They made some solid moves without giving up the farm as well in a few trades, resigned some of there own for depth and continuity.
When Zeke's numbers come off the books in June, it can set up money for any possible trades to help if they want to go all in, depending what happens in the draft.

Oh Yes.
If one agrees, the FO is great, if the do not agree, the FO still sucks.

At least after the draft we will have more to discuss or argue over.

Then the schedule release. And the OTA's. Until mid to late June until mid July or so it will be slow. So more QB threads. :muttley:

And, if someone likes a pick too much, then they'll be labeled as a homer. If not, then the hater labels start flying. It's a vicious cycle haha.

Last year was a good offseason. They did lots of things then needed to. One or two moves like they did with Cook and Gilmore and it would have been a home run. A lot more issues they had to address last year then they did this year.

Many were negative on it and most were proven wrong. Tyler was a great pick and getting rid of Cooper, Collins, and not resigning the DE were all good moves. We resigned a lot of important guys that were going to be FA's.

Last years offseason set up this years offseason.

I know a lot of people are reporting this, but I dont agree with it. We have some positions that definitely need to be addressed. RB and Guard are two of them. I would include DT in there, but we know the FO doesnt agree.
