My boss, who is a huge Steeler's fan is letting me come in up to 1 1/2 hours late just so I don't miss the Sunday night's game against the Eagles. How cool is that?

I work nights, so I probably would have missed most of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th. Not bad for a Steeler's fan who loves to bust my balls because I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan. Just thought I'd share.

:star:

That is nice of him. I also work nights, while normally off on Sundays ocasionnaly I also have to work. And on the rare ocassion it conflicts with a Cowboys game I'm shall we say "fashionably late'.

:)

Hehe! Been there. I have to work every Sunday night to start the week. Sucks for Sunday night games and for Monday night games. Heck, might as well throw in the occasional Thursday night games too.

My kind of guy for sure.

Probably feels a little guilty for under paying you.:D

Cool dude.

Monday nighters are usually "sick" days for me.

I work nights too. Though this week and last week I've managed to have sundays off. I work saturdays and just stay up all day watching football. Friggin sweet.

I manage a restaurant so my evenings are always taken. My staff calls Sunday night games "Turtle Nights". I go into our banquet room, close the doors, and every once in awhile I poke my head out to see if the place isn't on fire.

everyone here who said they work nights - what do you do?

I'll usually just try and get updates from my phone or something.

But in this case where it's the Eagles (or any case that it's the Eagles), I will never ever ever ever ever miss the game ever. I'll find a way to get out of it.

What a cool boss. My boss retired, now I have a female who knows absolutely nothing about football. My boss changed my schedule so I could watch the draft. He was awesome..

I start talking to my c urrent boss about getting a Monday off ... she's for "FOR FOOTBALL!?!?!" - so I just took vacation next week.

I work night audit at a Holiday Inn Select. I'm a college student trying to save up for a transfer to Arizona State. Man, major universities are expensive.

I took a vacation on Monday.

Im gonna need Monday off regardless of a Win or Loss.

Unfortunately, I'm on eastern time so the game goes late (I hate prime time sports) but I'm a college prof (your tuition is expensive because of guys like me) who's first class on Monday is not until 4PM

used to live in PHX and have in-laws who went to ASU--go devils

I worked Sunday nights every week last season. A few weeks before the season started I requested off every Sunday night that the Cowboys played on. A few days before the first Sunday night game my manager called me into his office and asked me why I had requested so many Sundays off. I answered that I just had some stuff to do those nights.
He looked at me and said "You've got football games to watch don't you?"
"Uh, yeah. I do."
"Well I can't approve this Sunday off because you didn't ask for it early enough but if you were to just call in and not show up I wouldn't say anything about it."

I wish I still had that manager.
