Jenkins was giving up the inside all day long. Why do you think Clayton became all pro in the game?

I have to say that Mike is more aggressive than Scandrick. Oh, I also saw your boy Scandrick whiffin big time on some tackles when he was in.

I am just glad we have a problem of who is better between Jenkins and Scandrick.

I love Mikes ball hawkin skills. He REALLY goes for the ball hard when its near him.

Scandrick is a very solid corner right now in his career. He reminds me a lot of Newman. He plays good man to man but doesn't make big plays from the CB position.

I see Jenkins being the complete opposite about big play ability for him. He seems to have it.

But again it botherd me how turned around he was getting today.

Fatwich almost threw for 300 yards.

lulz at trying to decide who played better; Scandrick or Jenkins.

Wade deserves a ton of blame. These guys are man cover CB's that excel in press coverage. We did almost NONe of that today.

Then you have safeties back there who don't jump routes, and along with a weak pass rush you get what we saw today.

If you're going to play man you need a good pass rush or you'll get killed worse then we did today on the pass

all in all, I though Jenkins played better than Newman. our entire defense was suspect and needs improvement.

Everyone is worried about the CB play, I am worried about the softness of the run defense up the middle. Sheesh

Please don't act like Leftwich cant throw the ball well. He still has a huge arm and he was getting the ball where it needed to be. His OL was tremendous out there today. They held up against what little rush we sent them and they run blocked EXTREMELY well.

My hats off to Leftwich and how he played today.

I hope Sensabaugh is ok. He really blasted himself trying to tackle that brick wall.

Jenkins did have a nice INT that was called back..

The almost INT was a gimme, let's not get carried away. In fact he stepped in front of Sensabaugh to grab it, it was such a floater.

And Terence Newman got scorched right before halftime for 47 yards when we absolutely couldn't give up a big play.

The Bucs luckily didn't get a touchdown and missed the field goal.

I expect bumps and bruises with the young corners, I have the bar set a little higher for T-New.
I wouldn't call that scorched. Clayton made an amazing play.

I don't know why there wasn't a safety over the top though.

I think Mike Jenkins is knicked up, to be honest. I think that bone spur thing in his ankle is still hobbling him a bit.

But yes, he did get burnt a bit and it wasn't cool. There was a story about how he hospitalized some guy with a hit...maybe that's why he's afraid to hit now?

Exactly. I figured most would understand that but some are actually using the gimme to substantiate some sort of argument. Amazing.

But if he doesn't start another game as our RCB in our base D, I'll be happy. Scandrick looks like the better player as of right now.
i don't know about that. Scandrick gave up passes too. The entire passing defense stank it up, so it wasn't just Jenkins.

What it comes down to is today is not the day to be propping up anybody in the secondary.

Ok to have pet cats, favorite players, etc...but if you gonna make a thread about it, it's probably better to do it on a day when they actually stopped somebody.

EVERYONE on the defense needs a self inspection including D-WARE (who kept getting pushed beyond the QB ALL Day).

I give Ware some credit for even playing. He looked like he was in a haze all afternoon to me. I bet he had a mild concussion after that hit on the opening drive.

He still ended up with 4 tackles, 2 passes defensed (lef team) and a coupel of QB knock downs.
