LSU FB J.C. Copeland met with the Patriots, Cowboys and Lions this week.
In addition, he has a private workout scheduled with the Falcons on Sunday in Baton Rouge and is slated to work out for the Buccaneers on April 25. The 6-foot-1, 270-pound former defensive tackle is a punishing lead blocker who earned MVP honors in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. He should find a home with a team that runs between the tackles with regularity. Apr 12 - 9:02 PM

I like it!!!!!! It will be interesting to see where he goes in the draft. I don't know if I'd take him the 5th...too rich for me. But to give up 2 7ths to move up into the 6th round....I could live with it. Someone is gonna pony up and take him before a lot of people expect. A good blocking FB is hard to find anymore. I just don't think he is gonna slide to the 7th round.

Good player but I would rather have Millard.

Millard seems more like the type I would expect the Cowboys to be interested in drafting. His issue is the injury and when will be be available to play/practice?

Copeland is definitely a hammer, but he would probably only get a few snaps per game unless the new OC is significantly different than Garrett.

I see the same thing. Millard reminds me alot more of fiametta. He also offers alot more in the passing game.

The new OC isn't much of a FB guy. His FB's played a total of 17 snaps the last four years.

Sweet, I've been putting him in my mocks but didn't think the Cowboys would be interested.

He might not be, but Murray is.

This is going to be an interesting development. It's clear Murray prefers running behind a FB and this draft has three really good ones to choose from.

Either way I just hope they make a decision and stick with it. If they ignore the FB position than decide mid-stream Murray needs one to be effective and they are stuck with another castoff it will be pretty disappointing.

we need to get the fullback that offers the most ST's wise. That's the only way he makes the team.

The thing that stood out as a negative watching his film was that he fumbled quite a bit.

meh, he won't be toting the rock too much IMO. Not too worried about that. He's a battering ram that could be available late in the draft

Broaddus mentioned in a Tweet that since he is 270, they might want to try the Brian Waters approach with him.
