Many players would like to get in on the "country club atmosphere."
It's, sadly, quite an unfortunate image of the Dallas Cowboys! :omg:

Sure, but what does that have to do with this? Just because LT is a bigger need doesn't mean you don't focus on all of your needs. Plus I'm talking about all offseason, not just today. Today he's retired.
I’m not concerned about center
Biadasz played his first full season and played fairly solid. In some areas really solid
He’s gonna get better
You can’t expect every player to be the best they are gonna be with 18-20 games under their belt

He was a guy I wanted to sign all offseason. No better way to improve your interior line play than to bring in a good center. Turns out he wanted to play here. Oh well, retired now

His “short list” of dream destinations was topped by the Panthers, as he has a longstanding relationship with offensive line coach James Campen; the Cowboys, “because I feel like if you’re going to play one last year, that environment would be fun”; and the Vikings, because he cheered for them as a child and “wanted to put a bow on my childhood.” But, Tretter says, none of the seven teams that his camp contacted reciprocated his interest

I think you guys are taking the quote out of context a little. Dallas is in the national spotlight. It's not like he said he would come for the jokes and BBQ. Maybe he meant it would be fun to play next to one of the best players of this generation in Martin and even T Smith for the few games he suits up. Why would any free agent sign anywhere other than one of the top teams according to the logic of just winning? The bottom teams wouldn't be able to field a team. I know there are a lot of bitter Cowboy fans out there, but jeez this is ridiculous. How dare a guy want to come here

All the free agents have agents who put out BS information about their client's wanting to play in Big D. It's just a ploy to get their guy signed, sealed and delivered to the old team. The Boys are so loved that 99% of the league can't stand this team and want to beat the hell out of them every time they meet.

I've always felt that was such a ridiculous narrative that's pedaled on here over and over. What the Heck do other teams care if we are interested in a player or not. Often times we are interested. Just like every other team.

Nobody with a shred of knowledge about Tretter would suggest he's not a hard worker. Good lord.
Broaddus has said that he doesn't practice because of the knee and did not want to attend training camp.

Broaddus also makes things up. He definitely had a bad knee and couldn't really practice much but supposedly the knee was better. And lots of vets like to wait to sign. You also don't need to give them $10M per year for 6 years. You can sign them to one or two year deals. There are plusses and minuses to all

Don’t think they want to deal with the baggage he brings.

That is the culture Barnum and Bailey has fostered and love. Step right up! Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls.
