I was hoping we could keep Lewis. But the money too big for him to pass up. As he said he wanted to stay here.
Wonder if Dallas offered him a deal before FA began.

wow I thought he might get a good offer but I didn't think he'd get a top offer that's crazy I mean I guess he deserves it but you never know he can go over there and just become toast I wish him all the luck but he's not a cowboy anymore so time to move on.. You can't keep everyone I mean the eagles released a couple of corners and one of them was pretty damn good last year this happens all around the NFL players are gonna be moving around if they didn't there wouldn't be any free agency and there wouldn't be any trades...

Sadly if you make it to free agency without a deal you are probably gone. Broaddus was right this looks like a second purge. What I don’t understand is what do they plan to do with the 60 million in cap space.

I love that contract for Lewis, but I hate it for his new team.

-Lewis will be 30 in Week 1. CB is normally not a position that ages well - those guys can't afford to lose a step.

-Lewis isn't a premier athlete to begin with, and doesn't have a step to lose. Stud NFL athletes usually age better than average NFL athletes.

-Lewis is one of those guys who looks better the less exposure he gets. His payday probably means that the Jaguars are going to put him in a feature role, and he's historically been picked on when Dallas put him in those spots.

Again, great deal for Lewis and good on him to get a big payday to end his career, but I don't think Jacksonville will be happy with this signing 3 years from now.

you all think you're a bunch of comedians in here you do realize this happens all around the league apparently honest offers are not being made to many players or free agent list wouldn't be so big trades are happening all over the place that means other teams are also losing players and good ones at that...

Where do you think this big wish list comes from where everybody wants to sign these free agents and you think they all came from the Cowboys apparently other teams have to make tough decisions and they lose players they like to keep... These are salary cap casualties you can't keep everyone I don't know what other offers he had but three years 30 million apparently 10 million per was a little much for a nickel corner that plays a slot mostly if he's the highest paid at 10 that means there aren't that many huge salaries for those guys I'm sorry to see him leave but let's stop making a mockery at the system this is not a cowboy issue this is a league issue this is where all these players are coming from large pools of free agents are players just like Jordan Lewis who are being taken by other teams off other teams....

Shouldn’t have offered such a crap deal last year. Wanting everyone of your solid but not super star players on one year deals is crazy.
