J.Smith, Heath

Where's @Chris in Arizona ? You thought I forgot about you? Or you wanna see Heath a few more weeks? Delay it all you want . The other haters I forgot, I just remember YOU

What did he do?

He wasn't awful tonight, but didn't do anything for you to be pounding your chest.

Lawrence started well. Jaylon was impressive. Sean Lee was his usual great self. Even Anthony Brown, who I'm not a fan of, was okay.

Smh. Not a fan of the two best secondary players. You're funny

Lee was his usual self. Dlaw showed up but surprise surprise it's a contract year. Never really noticed heath besides one play. Might need to watch it again.

Lol at thinking Lee isn't an athletic LB! Wow...

Anyone who steps on the field is in some way "athletic" but Lee isn't some prototype LB, he's a 30 year old LB who has had numerous injuries. What makes him so good is how he can diagnose plays.

You added a lot to my post that wasn't there - Lee is more a field general for the defense, which is highly beneficial. But he is simply not the player Smith is - Smith will get by due to some of his athletic gifts.

Really proud of the defense. Especially Jaylon.

Lee reacts like he studied the Giants playbook. Incredible.

I'm anxious to rewatch the game and see how Heath did, but he looked to be a big reason Eli didn't look to throw it past 10 yards tonight.

I know on one replay you could see a Giants receiver appear to be coming open on a crossing route and Heath came out of nowhere to close the gap and blanket the WR. Also had a big hit on another receiver that caused a drop on a third down iirc.

No, no. I like Orlando Scandrick and Byron Jones. I also have high hopes for Awuzie and Lewis.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with the defense's performance tonight. I do think some of that was a lack of a vertical threat but regardless, they played very well.

Still don't think Heath is starter caliber.

Things we didnt see.............Jaylon on a Blitz,--didnt have to, DLine getting pressure.
NYG Safety Collins as a big factor vrs. last year.---supported run well, but didnt disrupt pass protect
A bad angle on tackle from Wilcox... but less big hits out of the S position also
