For the first time in quite a while, I'm starting to think that Jaylon might be on to something. I think this defense has the potential (barring injuries) to be something special. Certainly much improved from the past liability that had to be "protected".

Secondary is a weakness. That cannot be hidden. I really like the front 7 when Irving gets back.

All Pro veteran LB that makes plays and knows where the ball is going. Check.

Speedy LB that can go from sideline to sideline as well as pass rush. Check.

A group of young menacing DE's that can harass opponent QB's. Check.

Young group of CB's that can take advantage of opportunities while improving. Check

Physical ball hawk safety that can cover as well as deliver the blow at the line of scrimmage..........hmmnnnn.......any ideas?

Then quit yapping to the media and go to Jerry and demand he spend the $10 million in cap space to get some legitimate NFL caliber safeties because if he doesn’t the defense will eventually collapse.

I like how the two starting corners are currently playing.

The two starting corners are playing good, but thats not how the secondary works. Say what you want, but Thomas, Frazier, Heath will all be liabilities in coverage. On key downs the DC will just game plan to attack Thomas or Heath and get his best receiver and move him around as such. Unlike Garrett who takes his best receiver and leaves him on the best corner for the entire game. It only takes a couple key big plays that can be the difference in a game.
