J Williams quietly had a nice night

Although it seemed like it was mostly a passing game tonight.

J Williams quietly had a nice night.

22 carries 93 yards.

Just wished he would gotten a chance to score in the red zone.
Kept the clock moving. Got some first downs. Really solid game.

He was great and Malik Davis was good. Blue lost his spot tonight.
Yeah, I'd probably dip back into the draft at RB again next year. We need to re-sign Williams, but we need to continue trying to find our future as well. If we trade down a little with our second first-rounder, I wouldn't mind the extra pick being spent on an RB ... with the rest of the draft picks being defensive players.

This is why I'm not pounding the table for the first time in several years for a 1st or 2nd round RB in the draft. Javante Williams must be signed.
Wanted one in the second this year, but can't fault the Eze pick.

Running primarily behind the right side of the line.
I noticed that as well.

If nothing else, 78 is a helluva run blocker. Stinks post-injury in pass pro. But, he can get to the second level very well in the run game.

Booker is very good and seems to be improving. That is a positive sign fot the Cowboys.

The OL has a big challenge ahead with the Eagles defense ahead. Shoot, KC and Detroit as well.

I have a feeling you'll be pounding the table again as we probably let Williams walk this offseason. They've bought low and had excellent success in back to back years with Dowdle and now Williams. We will see, but I'm skeptical they have changed their mindset and will be wanting to invest likely $12+m per year to the RB position if they feel they can just as easily find another diamond in the rough.

Yep. IF Tyler Smith's issues are physical & will be healed by next season, I would look at this lineup next offseason (Smith, Booker, Beebe, Steele, Whoever). That doesn't take financial into account, just trying to use the resources we have.

Remember when folks said the OL was going to be awful & we had no RB's?

The zone never disappoints.

Williams is 25.

He looks a bit slower at times then he did earlier in the season. I would draft another RB rounds 1-4.
