I keep hearing Jabrill Peppers comparisons with Charles Woodson.

I check and Peppers, in his career, has exactly 0 forced fumbles, 0 fumble recoveries, and just 1 interception in his entire 3 year career at Michigan.

What am I missing here?

It's more or less because he was got pre season Heisman talk.

He's a good prospect. The comparison was born out of convenience (i.e. both U. of Michigan, play both ways, special teams).

I think he is a good college player but I'm skeptical of his pro potential because I don't know what position he'd settle in at. He would have to go to a team with a defensive coordinator that knows how to use him, a la Tyrann Mathieu in Arizona. But he's not really a ballhawk/great coverage guy

Peppers is a great way player but he's no charles. Charles Woodson was one of the best college players ever. He was an elite shutdown corner, an explosive return man, and a hard to cover WR. He made big plays constantly. Like I said,Peppers is great all around but not sure he is elite at any one position and I don't see the huge plays from him that Woodson made every game.
