just seems like a Cowboy 2nd round player. highly talented with some red flags. In his case it’s his desire. IMO he’s a very similar player to Randy Gregory. My gut tells me he’s going to be there. If he’s there at 58 do you think we pull the trigger?

Very real possibility

Not a chance!!! He had horrible interviews at the Combine. Had a poor combine. One year wonder. Nope I wouldn't chance it!!

Yeah I take him if he is there.
The real deal is that they didn't bring him intot the facility to find out what makes him tick.

When a prospect has those kind of red flags, you absolutely have to bring him into your building.

Unless they did it in secret, I doubt he is a consideration.

Dude is action packed with issues but has the best spin move I’ve seen in the last ten years.

it'll be.....interesting if he makes it that far.
not sure after trading Frank Clark....and drafting Bruce Irvin.....that he gets by Pete Carrol.

If the FO feels good about his work ethic and his attitude it’s a no brained. He has top 15 tape.

Did he even play with his hand in the dirt at Florida?

That was the logic for passing on TJ Watt. Didn't see him play with his "hand in the dirt", so they passed on him and took Taco.

Not sure. But if he didnt and they took him anyway, I would view that as progress

He's got some really good first-step quickness and uses that to win. You don't seem him often win with strength, but he doesn't have to. Size will be an issue since he's not real tall. If he could put on some good weight might could be a good interior penetrator with his speed on passing downs. Not sure he's got much of a future at DE because NFL tackles are going be playing him wide to try to force him to attempt to beat them with power. Everything I've read says he's a run-game liability.

I'd rather get a more complete player at 58, but if he could just be disruptive in the passing game, I'd be OK with the pick. Don't think we brought him in, though, so I don't see Dallas even considering him unless he falls to the third or fourth round.

Not gonna happen.

Gregory was a risk because he liked to smoke weed. His character was actually solid. Good kid and easy to coach.

Polite’s Red flags are that he’s a ****** bag and is an entitled guy.

Dallas will risk injury and they’ll risk something like weed... but they won’t risk bringing in a guy nobody likes to coach or play with.

Plus, like @Alexander said... if Dallas was thinking of chancing him, they would have met with him as much as possible.

IMO, you can cross him off the list.

Agree, they didnt even bring him for a visit,i doubt they will consider him at 58/

A writer at Rotoworld said that he's heard even worse things about Polite than what's been made public about him. He wasn't specific, but he said that Polite "failed several teams' interviews before he even walked in the door."

Yes, and he looked like he was being shot out of a cannon while abusing SEC OTs.

Good point.

This is the type of player that really needs to be interviewed by the team if he is in consideration.

I don't think his character issue are as significant as the media claims.

Jerry recently alluded to the fact that they didn't really check out Claiborne that year because they didn't think he would be available.
