Which one had the really bad news about the knee damage...like it being degenerative and possibly prone to microfracture surgery

Jack= possible microfracture surgery

Smith= the one with the dead nerve after tearing ligaments in his knee.

Ok thanks......my thread was confusing. I apologize. I wasnt asking who you would choose, but which one had the nerve damage.....ty for you replies though.

I don't touch smith. He is dead to me. I feel bad for him to have his pro career taken away before it ever started.

Not sure I want jack either. I do like Perry, Bell, and Bullard

I've heard others say they didn't. It was on the 1310 Ticket coverage.

Broaddus and Bruglar have closer connections to the Cowboys. I would be more inclined to believe them, but that's just me.

Bruglar said that he for sure won't mock Jack to Dallas at 34 because he knows as fact that their doctors had major issues with the medical review.

Who knows, if he's still there later...

David Moore claims Jack is not off the Dallas board, Brugler and Broaddus do not think they are interested.

I hope he is at the top of the board, and whether they take him or not, they at least take a serious look at the kid, he can play.

Yeah they could just think where they would take him and where he will go isn't anywhere close. He may not be completely off the board, but for all intents and purposes he's simply not a consideration. Bruglar has been all over this knee thing for months now.

The Ticket had guys just as informed as Braoddus and Bruglar are. They seem to be confident that Jack is still on their board. There's no way he can COMPLETELY be off their board. If he's there in the 7th round the Cowboys will just say "no thank you"?

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. There's no way of knowing one way or another unless he's drafted by the Cowboys or someone directly states he was or wasn't.

This is true. I just don't get completely taking him off the board. Even as a late rounder. I think someone takes him tomorrow though. I'm not sure if I do it in the 2nd. Not where we are picking.

Not to be unfair to him but don't we hear this every year? The injury guy who analysts and scouts say "If it wasn't for the injury he'd be a top 10 pick....."? And then they go on to either have a short career or a irrelevant one?

I wouldn't either. Now if he makes it to the 3rd I wouldn't hesitate. It seems the Cowboys are moving away from injury risks recently though. Jerry has said multiple times lately availability is a key so I wouldn't look for many injury risks or character concern guys to be drafted with premium picks this year.

I wonder if teams might have Jack drop weight now and play SS to delay knee wear and tear; reduce the number of instances where he has a 320 lb Guard slamming into him.
