Video: Jack Sanborn Highlights

So that video looks great I'm trying to figure out who reminds me of I don't want to say Sean Lee but he definitely has that feel to him at least that would be something he would aspire to be.

But just to be realistic I think he looks a little like Anthony Hitchens about the same size plays the game similarly......

My man, Jack Sanborn. It's hard to believe he wasn't drafted. He's good and may even get a bit better before he starts declining.

Really like the add.
Well, the reason he's here is to run Matt defense that's who he counted on in Chicago and he should be a good green dot guy to get everybody in the right position and help guys transition to this defense..

Hitchens was pretty good. Sanborn is a little bit better, imo

Sanborn plays like Vander Each, cept he appears to evade blockers better, not as athletic. Some of it is the scheme. He's good in Eberflus' scheme.

Thanks for posting this ........
I admit this is my first time checking his bio/profile. We will see but I like that he knows Eberflus system.

It appears Eberflus is giving him a chance to win the MLBer job. It certainly doesn't hurt that he knows Eberflus' system.

He made six starts for the Bears in 2022, where he recorded 64 total tackles and two sacks.[14] Pro Football Focus (PFF) named Sanborn to their 2022 All-Rookie Team following the regular season.[17]

The Bears signed Tremaine Edmunds and T. J. Edwards to reinforce their linebacker corps in the ensuing offseason. Sanborn transitioned to a strong-side linebacker.[18] He started all 17 games of the 2023 Chicago Bears season, where he registered 65 tackles, one interception, one sack, and seven tackles for loss.[19] He was named to ESPN's 2023 ESPN "All-Youngster Team", a collection of players 24 years old and younger.

He's nowhere near that size lve was big that's not what we're looking at we're looking at a more mobile guy like Sean Lee and Hitchens smaller look at the frame they're around 6 foot 235, lee 6'1 230 sand born 6' 234 Hitchens 6' 234 Murray 6'2 240

LVE was like 6'4 256.. he was a clear downhill middle linebacker and the others are not they're more movable linebackers not just downhill guys.

Don't get me wrong I like lve there's just different type of players...

I do like our linebacker room now that I have probably in the last 34 years in total like just look at the makeup of all of them and I believe Matt brought them here for a reason including that guy James also in that same mold. 6'1 222.

Good add. I don’t think anyone expects him to claim a starting role.

He will provide depth and cover kicks. I’m sure he will serve his purpose.

..good instincts and fast for his age. Thats our Kendricks replacement, I think.
For his age??hes 24, the dudes been in the league three years, I mean you act like he's old though,

Kendrick's been in the league like 10 years,

but you're right he is the green dot guy that's going to help Matt's implementation of the new defense that's for sure he knows the defense but he's way younger he has way more mileage to put on than Kendrick's had...

I believe he could be this year's surprise you know the Eagles got a guy that absolutely doesn't look like that he could do much at all in this league and I think Sanborn might be better but

Zach Baun for Philly.

He came out of nowhere and had a ridiculous season, that he didn't do really much of anything his first 4 years...

Name your starting linebackers week 1.
easy Sanborn, Liafu and Murray.. But that just depends on are they using two to three linebackers sets I mean I don't know what we're going to be running but all three of those guys will be the starters or at least rotational starters on this team I mean who's going to take their spots when overshown comes back he'll take one of their spots probably Murray...

I mean unless the draft pick finds a way on to a starting role but I doubt that James will probably be special teams to start... He's built more like a strong safety...

.. I forgot we picked up Murray. That guy is also going to add buffer room to LB committee.

Gonna be good year for us. ;).

These were Matt's picks there's a reason for it and by the way I try to tell you Sandborn's only 24 years old, Murray's only 26 years old ,as opposed to someone like Kendricks who's been in the league ten years, I believe he's over thirty.

These are rather young athletic linebackers that can move, and they can play downhill

I mean Liafu is just probably due for a breakout season in year two... I believe they did improve I think it's one of the most improved positions I think it might be better than we've had in at least five years especially when overshown comes back..

He may very well be the next Brian Urlacher here and he grades out well against the run ( which is sorely needed) but whas the real reason the Bears let him walk and not even tender him a minimum contract?

I know the Bears signed Pro Bowler Tremaine Edward's as their starter but to not keep Sanborn on the cheap for depth is puzzling.

I'd like him for depth but we all know he will be a starter here
